Now that, I can respect. I do apologize for calling you out, despite the post being two-years ago. Though, being a skeptic, I can understand. Because, you want your moneys worth, and most games these days generally aren't(Believe me, I know!) XD. That said, you do have a point in which the developers are pretty repetitive now-a-days with the content, and games they put out. Assassins Creed is a pretty good example, and believe me. I liked that game, but... I stopped playing since Revelations since I felt like the game series was dragging out a bit ~~too~~ long. I was half-tempted to pick up the next installament till..

I found out that Miles apparently died, which I feel like he is basically integrated into apart of the game, rather than just some character.

This is a good theme for Melisandre of Asshai...I mean she is herself a sorceress, but regardless of that it enraptures the potency certain women can have with their exquisite beauty masking malevolent intentions...I especially love 1:36 to 1:45...makes me think of her birthing shadow children and enrapturing Stannis...

This game was outstanding! Iv had it on PC since it came out but only recently got round to playing it and CD Projekt gave away free DLC and let me update my game to the enhanced edition for free! People support this developer! The music, graphics, story just everything! It reminds me of how RPGs used to be on PC. How did skyrim outdo this game for GOTY last year? The song fits the subject well, mystery, beauty and mistrust sums up the Sorceresses and this song captures them traits beautifully

The games are the sequel of the books. A new story, based on what happened in the books. It's also a nice touch to meet some guys in the games who were on a side part of the books' story (like the dragons' hunters at the beggining of Witcher 2.

It is a whole series of books, and theyre pretty much amazing. First 3 are kind of collection of stories and are full of parodies of fairy tales and myths, while rest are focused more on continous stroyline

About the writing style... I'm not that good for this, but I can say he made the "words flow" really pleasant to read, and the descriptions are well made (you get just what you need to know, letting some details to your imagination). Once I got into the books, it was hard to stop reading them ^^ The first book is a short stories compilation (some of them are well-known fairy tales rewrite in the Witcher world, really fun to find which ones) that he used as a basis for the main story.

If you enjoyed the games, you have to know that they really stayed close to the books. The only difference is I found Geralt more cynical about his condition in the books than the games. You will also understand a lot more about Niilfgaard and the war that is refered to in the games, why the Conclave is no more, etc...

@Dawgz4 I don't like the elder scrolls series that much, but I do know it's significantly more popular than The Witcher and it is generally a good series to boot, I would hope Witcher 2 became game of the year, but I sadly doubt it

The Witcher was an AMAZING series. I loved it. The second had better gameplay and controls and graphics, and a soundtrack! The whole series was an amazing epic story of betrayal and sadness. I loved it. Pirate the game if you love it. ^-^ I know I did.

I don't care if you pirate things for a good reason. (good reason is relative I suppose, but still.) But people do it just to do it. I'd rather support the company, ESPECIALLY CDProjekt Red. They're one of the best companies around as far as I can see. When it comes to respect to the fans. Especially because Poland and CDProjekt suffer from piracy much more than the U.S

Runicstorm I'm sorry, but that is not a good thing that you pirated a game from this developer. Especially since that is their hard-earned money you just stole. You want them to make more games like the Witcher series? ~~BUY~~ the game, and this also shows you respect their work enough to say it is worth your money. That goes for just about anything being pirated these days. I know that post was made 2 years ago, but having a passion for this game, and series is royally offensive when you call yourself a fan of it, then proceed to rob the developers basically of their hard-earned work.

2 years ago but I'm still willing to reply. I know it's not good that I pirated the Witcher 2 from CD Projekt RED, my favorite developing company in the industry. Did I steal money? Not really, as I bought the game for full price on the Xbox 360, knowing that I had money to spend and a company I loved deserved it, and in doing I know that that money was used in the making of Witcher 3, a game that I've already saved up money to buy.

The problem that a lot of people don't realize is that there are a lot of companies out there that don't deserve their games bought. They're greedy, they don't put full effort into the game, and most of all, they lie straight to their consumers faces. I now know that CD Projekt RED isn't like that, and am fully willing to treat them how they should be treated, having put full trust into their fans.

I originally pirated the Witcher 2 because I was skeptical. I knew nothing about the game at first, but saw it when going through an old Gameinformer magazine, hoping there was a game that could peak my interest. The reason I 'pirate' (which I'm now skeptical of saying, as it wasn't complete piracy, as that is illegal) some games is to decide whether or not the company that made the game is deserving of the money they're asking.

Games like Call of Duty, Halo, and Assassin's Creed hyper produce games that are extremely similar because they want a cheap way to make a lot of money. That's just the way businesses are. They don't deserve that money, as they're not putting out products to their full potential. It's like giving you a toy that costs 60$, and then making another of the toy but a different color and then charging you another 60$. Developers like CD Projekt RED do deserve that money. They try to make a game true to the series they're based off of and target their true fans. Even if they didn't make the most money, they have a lot of people out there that they can call friend.

Sir, I don't currently know why you are responding to an old post. I got the game, beat it twice, and uninstalled it. You insult me, calling me a douchebag, but that does not change what I did, and never will. I don't understand why you did it, whether you were just trying to apply your input, or expressing a feeling that you did not know how to express. If it eases your pain any, I would like you to know that I bought the game on the Xbox 360, Ehanced Edition for $60.
