I accidently found this song, looking for medieval music to listen to as I took my first aeroplane trip... this played as the plane breached the clouds... i could not recommend a more wonderful experience
(But for real, this is one of the best songs I've ever heard)

Witcher 1 seems the closest to the books apparently. Witcher 3 had shitty endings. Except the bad ending for some reason. That was in line with the mood.

TL:DR - the books endings was the best.

Listen, The Witcher is a great series. I highly respect CDProjekt and would thank them greatly for binding a team of professionals to bring one of the best RPG experiences I've had. Now I cannot compare Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, DA: Origins, etc. I just think that all of these great games have something individually special about them; The Witcher's feeling of being a monster slayer, forging your personalized character in Skyrim, or the challenging (very) but satisfying Dark Souls.

the production value on this game is incredible, especially coming from a small time studio like this. You can just tell these guys genuinely care about this project and story. With Bioware losing their way as of late, I will have my eye on this studio in coming years

Wild Hunt's soundtrack is wonderful, but then I found myself wanting to go through the whole series again, and having sided with Iorveth after Flotsam, wandering around Vergen with this playing...I had forgotten how much I loved the soundtrack in Assassin's of Kings as well.

A truly hands-down open world rpg, best graphics from 2013 and also a very long and interesting gameplay, I would say that until the release of The Witcher 3, this is the most glorious game I've ever played

@CastlevaniaDude1 I found the combat in this game to be quite rewarding. It felt as if with each attack it carried weight as it should and the witcher felt real in that sense.

I remember hearing this and walking up to the harpy guy after I had finished the quest. Oh my god I laughed so hard, and when I got to wear the carrot trophy, I decided right then and there I was going to finish the entire game wearing thing.

Watered down mechanics, among other things made Skyrim more accessible to a casual audience. Witcher 2 is also gritty and mature.

Imo, one of the important aspects of a game is the music, there is rarely a game that makes me chill in its virtual city and listen to the music while looking at some beautiful scenery :)

Gotta agree with you. The Witcher is very linear in it's gameplay by choice- the elder scrolls games leave the character moldable so you can personally relate to the character, but The Witcher has always been drawing the player into a very established universe. By doing so the choices are more meaningful and therefore are more satisfying in the long run.

It's a very slippery balance act, though. It's established very firmly in all Witcher canon that Signs are like toys to real sorcerers, the most basic form of magic. So, either they'll have to make Geralt some form of "half-sorcerer", or introduce some experimental sign-slinger Witcher school which has found a way to improve the art.

Theyre hard to compare considering the design and structure of the game is very different. Yes theyre both in fantasy settings but, Skyrim is an open world game whereas Witcher 2 is some instance/ chapter based. Both have their pros and cons. I love Skyrim's open endedness but I love Witcher's structured and focused storyline aswell as the settings and characters....Both are amazing games

the witcher 3 will be open world. but i trust CDPred that they will do a good job. The Witcher 2 was such a great improvement over the first game, if they can keep only 10% of their "improvement rate" Witcher 3 will be awesome ! the images they showed at E3 this year blew me totally away.

personally i love alchemy build with whirlwind from swordsmanship, ten tons of dmg and vigor regen when poisoned you can sling sling signs like a machine gun with that build maybe add 2/2 Igni or Quen if you 35 level.

Well the first game gave you the option of being Neutral (the Witcher's path), so I would like to see that returning in the inevitable Witcher 3.

I think Fable The Lost Chapter was the best RPG I ever played, I know it's a kinda weird because he doesn't look like Skyrim or Mass Effect but he scored my childhood and I thank this game which gave me my passion to all of the RPG but I was disapointed about the following of the serie.. Fable you stay my best game ever played in my life ;( ( Excuse my mistakes I'm French )

Well, these "basic" spells are really powerful if you upgrade them. Still, witchers can't teleport, use spells artifact compression (or how is called in english...) and use powerful fireballs.
