God bless you. I tested your procedure on my jerky from 3 to 2 gear dsg 7.
It works like a charm.
I would changed only point 3 and 5 (I was waiting 1min because I heard some noise in step 5 - sound of adjusting from under my car).

1. Car must be on park position with handbrake .
2. Press the gas all the way down .
3. Start now the car, but don't start the engine. With the foot on the gas wait at least 60s (I heard click during this time).
4. Now turn the car off, but don't release of the throttle .
5. Wait now 60s more on the gas (adjusting noise from under the car).
6. Now you can get out off the car and go outside the car.
7. Lock the car and unlock.

BTW. Sport mode (S) also works a lot smoother and know better which gear should be selected on which RPMs.

Hi iMagik, I have a 2006 Jetta 2.0TDI.

Any idea what would cause the jerk from 1st to 2nd?

Yesterday I had the PRNDS lights on the dash flashing and the car only drove forwards in second gear. No other gear works.

I left it overnight and the flashing went away so I tried this reset procedure.

Unfortunately, the reset procedure didn’t work.

I ran a diagnostic and it came up with fault code 18154 - Transmission Solenoid Power Relay.

Cleared the code to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After replacing dualmassflywheel and clutch pack the clunky noise from 3 to 2 disappeared and ride quality and smoothness is perfect now. I still have from time to time some vibration when I'm downshifting from 3 to 2 (without clunk noise and jerking) and sometimes gear change from 2 to 3 is noticeable. Overall night and day difference after replacing both things. So from what I know this is a mechatronics problem but I'm not perfectly sure because mine is 2 years old 🙃 with new oil (dsg 7 - clutchpack is separated from mechatronics).

It worked like magic on Audi A6 Allroad S-Tronic (DL501), had super slugish 1-2 and 2-3 and now it’s smooth and the sound is nice during shifts. I have followed the instruction eith even longer times just in case and the vehicle was indeed warm. I took it for a 10minute drive in city area with low traffic just to make sure it learns somewhat ideal drive from the get go. Cheers

Tried this on my 7.5r as I was convinced my gear changes were jerky between 2nd and 3rd. Could tell the difference straight away. It seems to slip the clutch in smoother. Not sure how it changes engagement mechanically but it is running silky smooth.

Worked like a charm on my South African Used 2015 Golf 7 GTI! It used to hold the revs too high before changing and now it changes instantly just how i like it!

I has a similar problem on the Tiptronic box of my A6 C5 2.4 a good few years ago. I took it to Audi centre Claremont on numerous occasions, and they could not find the fault....if only we knew of this procedure back then. Am living in London now, and have come across a gorgeous 2011 A6 2.4 with low mileage (90 000 km/56 000 miles) It has a 7 speed auto box. Having had the problems on the C5, I am a bit concerned about ending up with the same issues, but this video has given me a bit of reassurance. I still need to find out more about this car, but the chances are good that it will probably end up with the same problem at some stage.

Wife's VW Golf TDI 2.0 DSG has recently needed the (very expensive, 2.3K€) mechatronic control unit in her gearbox replaced. Ever since she's been saying that now the gearbox behaviour is not the same as it used to be, it's much worse, late changes and generally crap. Tried this procedure this morning and she's happy again...thank you very much.
One thing we did notice was that the shop did a very long road-test following the repair, judging by how much fuel they used. Perhaps the box "adapted" itself to the chap that road-tested it...if so, then the shop should have carried out this procedure on collecting the car or at least advised my wife about it. Poor show.

Snappier throttle response and smother gear shifts my car was also developing a terrible clutch engagement upon stopping usually 5-2 mph as if I let off the gas before completely stopping (I wasn’t) this has gotten a lot better…

All in all not sure if this is throttle body alignment or a quick dsg adaptation but agin it works!!!

I had a TVS DSG tune. I can confirm you will still have your tune. I ran the reset to fix the shift points of Gear 1 > 2. I was facing the issue of jerky gear 1 shifts especially in multistorey carparks. With the reset, it is now smooth as butter! thanks iMagik !

Nope, explain then the clunck noises after the procedure, it wouldn’t make sense, the gearbox starts to relearn after when doing it. You can research on Audi forums from Germany. You have to imagine that the pedal is connected with the mech unit. As same as the brake pedal. Doing this only does a refresh start for the mech. That’s why always say, if you don’t see any improvement, it has damage. Another thing is the procedure aborted for safety on VCDS, then it’s 100% sure damage.

I have tested both, reset with pedal, reset with VCDS. Both cluncking after the procedure, after that you drive on all modes including Manual mode.

Odis does the same, but more professionally and with instructions for each procedure.

It would be awesome that all this DCT headache would come from only
the throttle body, it would be a miracle, but sadly not.

i have one quetion though, how do I update my DSG software ? im hearing a clunck noise when downshifting from 4th to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd and it's annoying, the rest method didn't work on mine (golf 6 GTD 160km). oil/filters are changed

You need the special software for it, go to a DSG specialized workshop and tell them you want the latest update for your gearbox. Cluncking noises can be because of the mechatronic part that isn’t changing properly the gears. Is it jerky when changing gears? Try adapting the clutches with VCDS and see if it gets better, if not, try the software update. If all that doesn’t work there is something wrong in your DSG that’s causing the noise. Maybe bad solenoids, maybe the hydraulic part of the mechatronic. It’s very difficult to know where the fault comes because sometimes the ecu doesn’t even show any fault code. How much km has your car? When did the cluncking noises start to happen? Any detail would help to find the issue.

My 2012 golf 6r recently has a problem where when I take off with full paddle down in D mode it stays in D1 and over revs until even over 4000rpm. Even in S mode. The paddle shift work and even in manual it works fine its only when I use the S tronic where it stays in one gear and doesn't want to change to the next gear. Hi,
I just changed the engine of my Audi A3 2.0 TDI 184 Cv of 2014 with S-tronic and Drive Select.
The job was done in an official Audi center but once I got back the car the mechanic told me he made some "reset of the transmission". I didn't know what he mean but the gear change is too early, it change much before 2000 rpm and the car practically always drive in 6th gear also at very low speed. This happen in Auto and Comfort mode. In Dynamic mode of course is much better but too much sportive. I tride the procedure but I didn't heard any sound during the process and didn't notice any difference in the driving style. Possible this is not working on my car model ?
How to "teach" a more sportive driving style to the DSG after the reset, should I drive in manual or in Auto ?

It depends how much gas you give, if your just driving slowly then its normal that the stronic is changing earlier gear, you can go to a DSG/STRONIC tuner to flash the software, tell them how you want it to be. This could be a software problem too, was the car before you changed the engine normal? If yes then try putting the old stronic software, maybe they just installed the wrong software on your gearbox. Try the reset if it helps. Put it on D and drive sporty for 30 minutes, there is no need to put it on manual.

Yes, it resets the old shift points and starts to relearn again. I didn’t had the opportunity to try it on a flashed DSG, I would suggest you to contact your tuner and tell them to do it with the special software because this method may not work. The reset doesn’t erase the flash file but it will probably don’t make any effect.

Hi, would this work on a seat Alhambra 2017 2.0 auto diesel.

I accidentally had the gearbox filter open and started the car and switched it off within 10-15 seconds. Lost about a litre of gearbox oil.

The gear then started to change really early. Had the car Dsg serviced by dealer but gear still charges really early.

On 30mph it shifts to 5th gear and mpg gone down significantly. Any tips on what I should do now

After the reset first only on D then after 10 minutes on S for another 10 minutes, then test R a couple of times and after that you can drive on manual mode but I would better let the gearbox relearn itself the shift points. I would drive the car 30 minutes, testing all gears, stopping to check if the downshifting is smooth. I test all gears, when you are done with D/S test R.

What kind of sorcery is this, was sceptical first, i tought i had to flush the gearbox of my 09 q5.
Now it showed me i drove a rolling vibrator instead of a car last year.. its smoot as f*ck now, actually very enjoyable now.
My car shaked alot while driving, not really a cause we could find out, tought about bad tires or something.
No more hick ups while accelerating after breaking.
It even shifts under 2000rpm now instead of above.

Hi iMagik, I have a 2010 MK6 Golf R, at about 169,000kms, it is Stage 2 tuned on the engine and the DSG also has been tuned. Am wondering if doing this reset will erase my DSG tune? Also the problem I am experiencing is when I am at a red light and begin to go the car will take about 3seconds or more (once I've left of the brake pedal) to start moving forward, sometimes it can be slightly rough especially when on an incline. Also when reversing out of my driveway which has a slight incline I feel I have to press the acceleration pedal a lot more than I should, I also experience loud vibrations coming from possibly the gearbox. The same vibrations sometimes also happen upon accelerating from a stop on even a slightly inclined road. Should I try the DSG reset??

I have just had the final drive component replaced a few weeks ago and was informed that if I wanted to keep the car long term I would need to look at replacing my mechatronics unit which will cost me upwards of $10,000. Please any help or guidance would be appreciated.

The reset won’t erase the tune and won’t even work properly because it’s not the stock software. Go to your tuner and tell him to do the DSG adaptation with the computer, clutch kiss point, resetting distance sensor etc… Had an Audi A4 doing the same thing but it was stock. There was a delay when releasing the brake and if I would press the accelerator it would let the clutch aggressively. After I calibrated it with VCDS the issue disappeared. The car had anyways the mechatronic defect but after the calibration it was a lot better. If you don’t change the mechatronic the clutch burns out faster in some cases like your problem now. By letting the clutch aggressively it’s forcing it and with the time the clutch pack will be gone. But anyways when fixing a DSG I would suggest to change the clutch pack and mechatronic, it is expensive but better to be safe. Try calibrating it with his computer, if after that still does the same then go for the Mech+Clutch pack Kit to fix it.

I had my clutches replaced on my dsg box as well as the Mechatronics. After Coming from the repairs it now has the engine management light on. Had it diagnosed & the error it gives is the Transmission control module "gear shift module/gear shift position circuit". The car shifts & drives fine. Would this procedure perhaps fix the problem?

What you can do, is first delete the code with the computer and then try the reset. But from what I see, the sensor needs to be replaced. You can still drive like that, my recommendation is to change it as soon as possible. What I’m thinking of, is that they didn’t do a clean job changing the mechatronic and clutches and something got broken, it’s very weird that after a repair like that suddently another sensor starts to fail.

Just like I said, delete the code, try the reset, if it comes back the sensor is gone and needs a new one. If it doesn’t comes on, good. Maybe it was some sort of glitch.

Thanks for posting this video. I tried this on my Audi A3 2013 S tronic DQ200 and it worked for a few days, then it went back to the issue i had. The car has a little bit of a hick and shakes (very little) between 2nd and 3rd gear. This only happens when i accelerate like 50% between stop light and 50km/h. When i push full throttle (100%) or 10% gas there is no hik up or shaking. Also when i open my car window i can hear the gearbox tick and makes a sounds when it changes from 3rd gear to 2nd and also upshifting it can make a little sound only in 2nd + 3rd gear. With car window close i don't hear anything, i dont know if this is normal. Any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance! Great video btw

How much km has your car? DSG Clucking sounds may appear because of bad gear actuators + Mechatronic solenoids. What you can do, is to adapt the gearbox with VCDS or Odis and if after that it’s still doing the same then it’s something damaged. It’s hard to tell me what is failing, this is what is maybe failing: Gear Actuators ( car won’t throw the code till it gets really really jerky and bad, cluncking sounds, gearbox can’t change gears properly, limp mode, gear 2>1 car jumps forward with clunk) Mechatronic the same ( won’t throw codes till it gets really bad, behavior is strange, bad gear changes, RPMS floating/jitter, Slippage in gears/ Gears not available, Clunking when changing from P>R>N>D, also clunking when driving and changing gears, TPMS light comes on after Gearbox Limp mode, adaptation doesn’t make any positive effect, gear 2>1 car jumps forward with clunk, parking brake not available suddently… etc.

All DSG’s should be smooth, when cold a little sluggish behavior it’s normal for older DSG’s and high mileage, but your car is from 2017 so not normal. On warm should be fully smooth. No, it’s not normal, try the reset in cold, do a test drive. If it’s still the same try it with warm engine. I personally tried both, cold or warm and it works. If it doesn’t get better, Adapt it with VCDS or Odis Software.

When was also the last DSG Service? & How much KM has your car?

Does this work on a 2016 Audi Q5 2.0t with an 8-speed? I want to do it because when i shift into reverse i need to wait at least 5 seconds, if not it goes forward for half a meter then starts going reverse, and when I hit the gas on a steep hill it downshifts and makes the whole car jerk.

Axel Israelyan i don’t think so, this Method should only work with DSG’s, i have not tested it on a Triptonic gearbox so i can’t Tell you exactly if it will work or not, can you Test it and Tell us if it worked? If it doesnt work I think that your gearbox needs new oil and Filters, it can be a damaged clutch or the torque converter itself. When was the last Oil Change of the gearbox and how much km does have your Q5? Its weird because torque converters should last longer than DSG’s and your car is from 2016, so i think your car is almost like new. Tell me all the Details of your car so i can maybe help you

Yes, you can give it a try. I know a friend that had the same issue and after the reset the DSG did not clunk anymore and his car did have 250k. Sometimes if the reset doesn’t work the problem is mechanical and needs to be checked.

Yes i agree with that, DSG’s are not reliable and they fail very often. VW just wants our money, they did offer to me a whole S-Stronic change for like 7k€-9k€ knowing that the model I had was defective from Factory ( Audi Q5 B8 3.0 TDI Stronic 2010 DQ501) they tend to fail 100% even if you take care of them so yes. The gearbox can’t keep with so much NM with the time that’s why on the new models they put Tiptronic ZF gearbox.

Jpizzle Something is Bad on your Gearbox, I would first try the reset and if doesn’t change, go to the workshop as soon as possible, this will break the whole Gearbox if you continue driving with the issue.

Hello, I drive a VW Tiguan 2016 second generation. All-wheel drive and DSG and 150 hp. The transmission mechatronics broke almost 6 months ago. This has been fixed. However, the DSG shifts very jerkily, especially in lower gears such as 2-3 3-4 4-3 3-2. Would the reset make sense here or entail a risk? Many thanks for your response

Hello, sorry for the inactivity. The most cases after a mech unit repair is that they completely forgot to do the adaptation with Odis. You need someone with Odis to recalibrate the new mechatronic, if not, the car will drive super jerky. Did you change the mech unit at VW or a normal Workshop?

Hi. I have a Golf MK7 1.4 TSI, 7 speed dsg - In S mode, when braking/coming to a stop while at gear 2, the car will jerk (sometimes with some noise coming from bottom of car). The jerk does not happen when downshifting from 3 to 2. It happens while the car is already in gear 2. D or manual mode has no such issue. I have a ecu stage 1 and tvs dsg tune. Replaced my clutch and flywheel but issue persist.. MU looks like made in china, replaced by previous owner. Do you know what could be causing the issue? Will this reset of dsg work? Will it affect the tvs dsg tune i did? Thanks!

It’s maybe something with the tune. Try talking to your tuner to do the adaptation. Also the DSG that is mounted in your car is weak (DQ200) and with stage 1 imagine how much stress the gearbox has. Even stock they fail a lot. Or one of the gear selectors is bad (hydraulic part). Try going to stock software, look if the car behaves normal. If it’s alright after that, then the tune is causing it. If after flashing the stock software still behaves like that, then it’s something mechanical in it that is causing it.

I have a Mk5 gti with a stage 1 tune and i think a tune on the gearbox as well but not 100% sure anyway ..my problem is when the car downshifts from 5th to 4th and 3rd to 2nd it makes a banging/clanking noise and its really frustrating .. the previous owner take the car to VW dealership and they said that’s a normal thing but i think this is a bullshit …so i dont know ..it’s only happening on the downshifts tho ..thanks for the answer

Normally it should do that, when a DSG starts to bang the gears then it’s a mechatronic problem, the clutches or the gear selectors. Even the tune could cause that since it’s not the OEM one. Talk about it with your tuner. I would install stock software again and see if it still does the same. If it does the same then it’s 100% mechanical problem caused maybe because you had stage 1. Did you a lot of racing, launch controls or forced the gearbox while tuned?

@@imagik9216 I dont know what is the main problem ..we did a full diagnostic on the car last week especially on the gearbox and didnt gave a code or fault so i dont know mate.The clutches are fine i think didnt noticed any slip or miss shift. And no i didnt use the launch control too often i think twice i used it..

Hi, thanks for the guide. Do you think it will help on my dq250 as it sometimes feel like it is confused when trying to drive on d mode on 1st gear the rpm raises but without moving for 2 sec and then it moves. Does not happen in s mode.

It can maybe help but the chances are low. If this method doesn’t work go to the workshop to check the DSG. Try changing the Oil from the DSG and mechatronic, if there is some new software update it too and the last thing if the gearbox doesn’t work well is to do the adaptation with VCDS. If after that all there is no changes and the DSG is still running bad then there is mechanical damage in it. DCT are very complex and the repair costs are way to high. I hope your DSG is ok.

I have a fear my mk 5 gti’s dsg transmission fluid and filter have not been changed in a substantial amount of time if at all. It jerks from 1-2 and in reverse it definitely lurches forward if i let off the brake entirely almost as if throttle was applied. I did hear an excessive whiny noise the first day I drove it but haven’t ever since. Let’s say I reset the DSG & it works okay, should I change the fluid and filter as well? I was told changing the fluid and filter on a faulty transmission would risk breaking it entirely. Thoughts?

Changing the oil doesn’t break the transmission but also doesn’t make any effect if the gearbox is already damaged. I would be more worried about the mechatronic unit than the mechanical part. I would a complete oil and filter change, DSG + Mechatronic unit. Then do a calibration with Odis or VCDS. If after that still gives you problem, it’s damaged.

If I have a s tronic remap and still do this reset, wouldn't it reset also the remap? Would have ton of problems because my max. Torque/Nm has been reprogrammed to 800Nm from the TCU...

I don’t think it would work because it’s programmed and not official. Let your mechanic do an adaptation. If after that it’s the same then you need stronger clutches

Dq200 fail very fast because it’s a dry gearbox(clutches). 2-1 problem is gear selector 2 failing. mechatronic could be also failing. Do you have a tune or something similar?

I have Taigun MQB A0 IN platform newly launched in India. It has a 1.5tsi mated with dq200 7 speed dsg. I am facing jerks from d3 to d2 and when speed hits 20 to 22 and when it engages to d2 from d3 the rpm is raising(power lag) after engaging to d2 when i accelerate again.

If the reset doesn’t work you will need a adaptation. The Mechatronic sometimes gets jerky and crazy when the settings are not the correct ones.

Hi, how much km has your car? Last DSG Service? DSG6 or DSG7? Any error codes? Is it only the cluncking noise or something more like jerky gear changes? You can try the reset and see if it gets better, there is no harm doing it 👍🏼

Something mechanical I guess, there shouldn’t be a rumbling sound when changing gears. Go to your VW dealer and tell them what is happening. If there is no fault codes it will be a bit harder to find the issue and maybe VW won’t do the repair. From my experience they only fix issues if there is a fault code but maybe they can try to find the issue without the computer. Go as soon as possible there and let them check it for you.

No, this method doesn’t erase the software, but I would recommend to ask your tuner if he can do it for you since he changed the oem one to a custom one. The reset may only work if he does it with he special tools

Try the reset, if it doesn’t help contact the tuner and let him do the adaptation with his computer. The dq200 is weak that’s why it’s better not to modify the car. Dry clutch without Oil can’t keep up with the NM after a certain time. It’s not a mechatronic problem because all the gears are shifting correctly ( gear selector/actuators alright too ). If after his adaptation the car still does the same sound then it could be the clutch pack itself. Do you have clutch slip when doing hard pulls? Also any RPM jitter or floating? Since how much km is your car tuned?

When it slips, do you get any error codes? Seems like the clutches can’t transfer the power to the wheels. Put the original software and try doing a pull. If it still slips the clutch needs to be probably changed. I’m not sure if it’s the mechatronic because it would directly throw a codes. Do this: Go to your tuner, let him adapt the gearbox. If nothing changes then install the factory software ECU and DSG. If after that still slips or does anything weird then it’s something mechanical that’s broken.

If your car is alright do it every time you feel the DSG laggy or some type of strange behavior.

I did only Test it on Cars without DSG/S-Tronic Flash, so i can’t tell u if it will reset it or not, I would recommend you to talk to your Tuner and tell him to reset it with his Computer. Don’t take the risk because it can go on Limp Mode.

Hello, I have a 2014 Golf TDI DSG 250 which just recently out of the blue decided to make this loud whining sound when you put the car in drive. When I release the brake the car doesn’t creep forward like it normally would? When I accelerate away the whining is louder and then most times it clunks into 2nd. No fault codes show up. I had the DSG tuned about 12 months ago.
No one seems to talk about their car whining, just the bad shifts and the clunking! Any ideas?
I want to try your method but am scared 😳, but I guess I have nothing to lose. From what mechanics have told me I will need a new transmission!! Thanks

Yes, like you said. Your DSG has 100% Mechanical Damage. It’s hard to say if mechatronic could be also failing. The mechatronic won’t throw codes till it gets super bad. The clunk into 2 gear could be maybe gear/selector actuator number 2 Stuck or in bad condition but not sure.

Why did you tune the DSG? It’s your car Stock? Last Oil change+filter? Need more details. You can still try the reset but after reading what you wrote, the reset will most probably don’t work. Even if you try it with VCDS calibrating/resetting all the settings won’t make any effect. Probably will throw ( aborted for safety reasons ) after trying it.

Thanks very much for your fast response. The car has done 106,000 km. The DSG oil and filter were replaced at 65,000 km by VW service.
I had the ECU and DSG tuned just to get a bit more performance from the engine and improve and smooth out the gear changes. The tune did both things.
My mechanic (who is not a DSG specialist) had a quick look and said they saw metal shavings in the oil but when I spoke to another mechanic (who is a DSG specialist) they said it is quite the process to get to the oil so I don’t know what’s true!
Could the whining noise be mechatronic related? Thanks again.

Whining noise can appear if mechatronic is failing. But also if the clutches are worn out. It’s something in there damaged that needs to be changed. If the car is not moving forward after letting the brake then It could be a mechatronic solenoid failing. Does it slip if you accelerate hard? Also no rpms floating when cruising?

ECU Flash & DSG can cause problems by changing the NM limit and clutch pressure.
More stress on both clutches also more heat in the mechatronic and other parts too etc..
It seems like the tune worn out the DSG faster than normal and your now experiencing it.

Talk to your Tuner, reset and recalibrate the DSG again with his laptop , if after that the gearbox is giving still problems, then find a good specialist to fix it. I can’t tell you really where the problem comes from without testing the car and scanning it.

@@imagik9216 Thanks again for your response. To be honest, I’ve only driven the car up and down my street since this started happening so I haven’t got up into any higher gears. I haven’t accelerated hard since it happened. I haven’t noticed any slipping or loss of RPMs, ie. the engine has always been running, just the big clunk when changing gears and also in reverse.
In relation to the DSG tune, the transmission was more efficient with its changes and was smoother too after the tune but I can understand that tuning the ECU could add extra stress on parts.
Sorry, what is the NM limit?
Both the tuner and the DSG mechanic are a 30min drive away so I’m wary of driving it over, even at midnight!! I probably should get it towed to be safe, it’s just more money!!!

I understand you completely and your doing good. The DSG won’t throw codes till you really force it. If your just driving gently since the whining then no error codes will appear. What I would do is half of gas or flooring it so maybe the Gearbox throw some codes, limp mode or any thing but it’s super risky because it can really blow up the DSG since it’s Flashed so I guess safety features are turned off. Don’t do it better, who knows what parameters did the Tuner change.

Your DSG can handle original with no tune 400nm. I don’t know how much your tuner did limit it. All DTC gearboxes are super fragile in things like this. The most DSG-Stronics models are ticking bombs even without Flashing ECU and DSG. Both clutches fail or mechatronic. Sometimes even both.
You can still drive but don’t force it. The clunk in reverse could be gear actuator 2 stuck/malfunction. If there is no slip then good. Also the jerking and bad shifts comes from the other Gear Actuators. The sound maybe the clutch pack or something in the gearbox that’s doing it.

Do you have also enough Oil in the box?

Normally when you have allot km on it it should clunck a little bit but not bang, if it bangs then there is damage. Weird because 10k is nothing, it’s still like new. What I can recommend you is to do the adaptation with VCDS, the reset may help a bit but the Recalibration with VCDS is better, you should feel after that, that the sounds are gone again how it should be. You can do it also with Odis but it’s more complicated and should only use specialized people. If you know someone that has experience with it, ask him if he can do it for you. If it in any step says aborted for safety reasons, your gearbox may have issue. So in resume, just do the Calibration with VCDS, or try the reset if it helps. If the noises are still there, then watch out if it gets louder or it bangs the gears with the time. If it happens, then go to check the gearbox because it’s maybe failing.

Annoying that I've discovered this video after I've taken my S7 with juddery gear shifts at low speed (gears 1-2) to an independent specialist who's quoted me £4k for a new clutch and flywheel! Maybe this would have been all it needed in order to sort the problem?

Hi, what exactly do you mean with struggle? Not smooth change? You feel the gear change going hard in? Watch out because this is a Dry Clutch DSG and these are symptoms of bad clutches/selectors. Any tune? How much KM on the clock?

I give it a bit more gas and it's fine to go to 2nd. I'm not sure about tune tbh as the owner didn't mention anything about it but it does seem faster than stock golfs (my friend has a 17 dsg golf who confirmed this). It has gone 66.5k miles at the moment. Recently did my dsg service at 65k
