In September, 2006, Adelphi was dropped from Drive-Thru Records. It is unknown exactly why this occurred, but some fans suggest their demos (assisted by producer/engineer Matt Thomas) hardly made it past owner Richard Reines’s desk. Almost instantaneously, the band released 3 demos onto their MySpace profile. These demos are more dynamic employing various percussion instruments including Tambourines, Cowbells, and Shakers. Haller switched to bigger shells and different drum tuning. Lichtfuss’ bass tones shifted more to the midrange. Sophocles and Keaton switched exclusively to combo amps of different vintages, and further employed the use of effects as they saw fit.
The band played their last show as Adelphi on December 30, 2007 and three members formed a new band.
Keaton, Haller, Thomas, and Dan Book (of Voodoo Blue) now compose the band The Everlove.

To indent me from you
But apparently I do it way too often
It's not like you
To shut up and ignore every word said to you
How can you possibly see
Or is this what you've wanted all along?
Have it your way [x2]
So wake up
It's time that it's the end of us
So wake up
Am I making myself clear to you
Hope I'm making myself clear to you
It's not like me to voice my opinion
It's only because someone never stop giving theirs
It's not like me to not do anything about it
Nothing sign, no nothing sign
How can you possibly see
You're digging yourself deeper all the time
Or is this what you've wanted all along?
Have it your way [x2]
So wake up
It's time that it's the end of us
So wake up
Am I making myself clear to you
Hope I'm making myself clear to you
So wake up
It's time that it's the end of us
So wake up
Am I making myself clear
So wake up
Now it is the end of us
So wake up
Am I making myself clear to you
Hope I'm making myself clear
The lyrics of Adelphi's song Wake Up address the frustration and heartbreak of being in a relationship where one person feels unheard and unappreciated. The vocalist begins by expressing how unusual it is for them to distance themselves from their partner, suggesting that they have been hurt too many times in the past when attempting to communicate. Conversely, they note that their partner has been ignoring them, refusing to listen to anything they have to say.
The vocalist then questions how their partner can't see that they are causing more damage to their relationship by refusing to communicate, wondering if this was their desired outcome all along. The repetition of the phrase "Have it your way" exhibits a sense of powerlessness and resignation on the vocalist's part, indicating that they have given up trying and will allow their partner to continue as they wish, regardless of the outcome.
The chorus of the song is a call to awakening, urging the partner to acknowledge the circumstances of their relationship and realize that it is coming to an end. The vocalist pleads with them to listen and understand the situation, all while hoping that their message is clear. The repetition of the chorus underlines the urgency and desire for resolution and mutual understanding.
