Decay
Adramelch Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Our court is on feast
Decayed again
An empty cruelty
Engraves its mark
Three Bards Play for their king
A sound rises

(chorus)
A wise man comes to stay, to show us the way
His down of destiny, when man's too fool
He's really pure

People don't understand
This line of time
We are the last ruinous descents
We'll never shine
We must learn from the past
To save ourselves

(chorus)
A wise man comes to stay, to show us the way
His down of destiny, when man's too fool
He's really pure

(break)

Fight beware your life belongs to you the saver will return to us
Whenever

Overall Meaning

In Adramelch's song "Decay," the lyrics depict a decaying court that is cruel and empty, with the mark of this cruelty being engraved on the people. Despite this, three bards play a sound that rises, likely symbolizing an attempt to revive the court's spirit. The chorus introduces a wise man who has come to stay and guide them on their path to destiny, urging them not to be fooled by foolishness, and highlighting his purity. However, the people don't seem to understand the present line of time, which is continuously leading them to ruinous descents. The song emphasizes on learning from the past to save themselves. The break highlights the importance of fighting to protect their lives and the return of the saver that will be there whenever they need it.

awesome stuff, could have influenced games like Castlevania in the sound department.

grazie per aver postato quest'album storico. io sono ancora un loro fan. ho LP "irae melanox" e avevo anche il demo tape che portava lo stesso nome dell'album.

@Oni64 hehehe indeed. Although it's more likely to be the opposite. Castlevania came out in 86. So actually, they probably had no influence on eachother at all. But they're both cool, so no bother either way.
