Adriana. A native of Lisbon, Portugal, Adriana has played music as long as she can remember. After graduating on classical flute performance at the age of 16, she flew to Paris to audition for a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Two years later, she graduated summa cum laude at age 21. While in the USA, Adriana honed her skills in performance, songwriting, arranging, production and music business. She worked in America as a professional musician, playing in many concerts, on recordings, for television and radio, and at private and corporate events. And also worked just long enough in an office "cubicle" to know that the sedentary life was not for her. It was time to move, and move she did. She started writing songs, and made a demo, leading to her signing with Universal Music and her debut record release this year. At 25, Adriana is a special and unique talent; a singer-songwriter, an instrumentalist, a producer of note... a musician of depth and breadth. Characterizations have never intimidated Adriana when it comes to her art. Her "take no prisoners" approach has propelled her to well-deserved respect among musicians, writers and producers on both sides of the Atlantic. Her musical style crosses over from traditional forms to contemporary streams of popular music, incorporating the varied sensibilities of swing-jazz, pop, blues, funk, rock, latin, and world musics. Adriana writes, sings and performs original music in the Portuguese language, though she will occasionally lapse into English. Her dynamic performances leave audiences transformed and spellbound. Her seductive voice, iconic lyrics and mesmerizing stage performance will leave you astounded and wanting to see and hear more. With her current debut CD in stores, Adriana has made two things clear for certain: That she is a music force to be reckoned with, and that she is here to stay.

Adriana Balint was born & raised in Iasi, Romania. In her teenage years she began writing songs for guitar and voice. At only 15, she signed with The Phoenix Cultural Foundation and released her debut album "Altceva" (Something different), which was a real succes in Romania. Her second LP "Mai aproape de cer" (Closer to Heaven) included religious (Catholic) songs, re-arranged to fit her style. The album also included 2 new songs written by her. An unexpected musical break came to stop Adriana's asscension. She dissapeared from the stage for about 3 years, for personal reasons - and then recorded the brand new track "Crede" (Believe) which represents a slight change of style, from celtic pop to pop-rock.

Until Tomorrow
Adriana Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Oh you're movin' too fast
all i need is a time to wait until tomorrow
you, just keep holdin' on, holdin' on to the pain
we felt together back in time
There is a reason that I need you
To always be my friend
But you ran away
And left me to pretend
I keep on movin' away from you
When you come close to me
I can't keep playin' your games no more
[Chorus: x2]
When I close my eyes I see
A vision of you and me
The empty promise that you had made
A how you'd wait for me
Without your arms around me tight
Is more than enough for me
I told you wait until we're right
Baby can't you see
[Chorus: x2]
I keep on movin' away from you
When you come close to me
I can't keep playin' your games no more
[Chorus: x2]
The lyrics to Adriana's song "Until Tomorrow" express a longing for a slower pace in a relationship that has moved too quickly. The chorus repeats the idea that the singer needs time, until tomorrow, to process the pain she and her partner have felt together in the past. The verse details the complexity of the singer's feelings towards her partner, expressing a need for their friendship while also acknowledging the hurt their relationship has caused. The singer desires an end to playing "games" with her partner and expresses a need for a genuine connection.
The song's bridge reveals a vision of the singer's hope for the relationship, but also acknowledges that the promises her partner has made in the past were empty. She states that she needs more than just physical comfort, and that she has told her partner to wait until the timing is right. The chorus then repeats twice more to emphasize the importance of taking things slow in order to heal and move forward.
