Revolver
Advocate Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It awoke with twitching legs that burst an inch to take a mile
As knuckles drag and thumbs oppose
The product becomes the process
It will itch and we will scratch
And we will scratch ourselves extinct
Our parts wear out not unlike machines
We'll lie twitching in our graves
The lyrics to Advocate's song "Revolver" describe a disease that has hardened within our society, constantly causing an itch that we cannot resist scratching. The disease is a metaphor for the way our culture has become entrapped in a cycle of consumerism and materialism. The line "our parts wear out not unlike machines" highlights how we are encouraged to constantly consume and replace items, just as a machine becomes obsolete and must be replaced. The repetition of the phrase "we will scratch ourselves extinct" emphasizes the destructive nature of this cycle, as we continue to consume and discard without regard for the consequences.
The final lines of the song, "A single revolution without traction and we'll all rot as the text," suggest that a change in our behavior is necessary to break this cycle. Without this change, we will continue to decay and deteriorate as a society. The use of the word "revolution" implies that a significant shift in our thinking is needed, rather than just small changes.

@LFK it’s you. We’re here to hear him talk. If you don’t want the part where he talks go watch audits instead of audits of the audits. Some of us like to learn rather than purely be mindlessly entertained.
LFK
@NaisuCinema no that's not my point. I just don't know if it's a bit much lol. I guess I don't have the mind to be able to keep up lol

Becoming an Instructor in MD is way too easy and eventually become more strict. Theres an instructor every block and 9/10 of them are teaching horrific fundamentals and knowledge. And this goes for pistol and rifle, I feel like MD will start making instructors shoot every few years and take tests to keep their certifications.
