'Sentient', released in 2003 by US Label Middle Pillar Presents, is an hour of music that captures the essence of the band through layers of guitars, a spirited rhythm section and vocal harmonies that enliven the heart. In the summer of 2004 AEnima met with Carlos Maria Trindade (Keyboardist of famous Portuguese group Madredeus) with whom they co-produced a tribute cover song of a Cult Portuguese band Mão Morta called 'Anjo do Desespero'. Later that year, they released through Tenser Productions a limited Split Picture 7'' with the exclusive track 'Puppet Circus', which was the motto behind the subsequent Tour 'The Puppet Circus comes to Town' from November to December in Portugal.
Early in 2005, the Puppet Circus did leave town and with it took two of the band's members - guitarist Pedro and singer Carmen - a strange loss that propelled the remaining members to take some time off to travel and do some soul-searching. Getting together after some months, they were introduced to singer Susana and immediately realized she was perfect to pursue AEnima's renewed vision of hope and their unique ethereal universes. Fueled by this breath of fresh air, the band is currently preparing their new album as well as a sensor-driven interactive stage show which strengthens and consolidates their reputation as creators of magical worlds.
2. Aenima is a hardcore/grindcore band from Nancy, France. They release a demo 'Chainsaw is the law' in 2000 and a CD 'Hippie Hunter' in 2005. One of their guitar players later joined Blockheads.

Behold this tear for you,
it will be the last one
If I could have the power to
enlarge the night
So I can watch you forever, so pale,
under the moonlight
And I know this will be your last
Your light is fainting in my eyes
as I watch you leaving
Stay... won't you stay with me? And lay here by my side
Stay... and let me feel your skin
As pale as the moonlight
In a hidden place two lovers
mourn:"If you look to the stars, will you mourn with
me?"
But your words are so cruel that they could smash my
soulAnd again, and again, but I could never live
without
I rather stay, than to be alone
Stay... won't you
stay with me?
And lay here by my side
Stay... and let me
feel your skin
As pale as the moonlight
Stay... why
don't you stay with me? And lay here by my side
Stay... and let me feel your skin as pale as the moonlight...
Here the song of the night
The nightingale is singing for
me...
By Juliana Farias
The lyrics to "Pale" by Aenima depict a mournful scene of two lovers in a hidden place. The singer is watching their lover leave for the last time, and wishes they could keep them there forever under the moonlight. The lover's light fades away as they leave, and the singer begs them to stay and lay by their side, feeling their pale skin under the moonlight. The lover responds with cruel words that could "smash" the singer's soul, but the singer cannot live without them, preferring to stay in their presence than to be alone.
The lyrics speak to the pain of losing someone you love and the desperate desire to hold onto them, even if it means enduring hurtful words. The themes of love, loss, and longing are conveyed through poetic imagery, with the moonlight symbolizing the fleeting nature of love and the nightingale's song representing the beauty and sadness of life.
Overall, "Pale" is a hauntingly beautiful song that captures the emotion and vulnerability of love and loss.
