Crying
Aerosmith feat Christina Milian Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You see me crying
Don't let it get you down
You see me crying
I'm back to the lost and found

Honey, what you done to your head
Honey, what's the words that I said
Honey, what you done to your head
Honey, what's the words that I said

You see me crying
Say you're a ladies man
You see me crying
So hard to understand

Honey, what you done to your head
Honey, what's the words that I said
Honey, what you done to your head
Honey, what's the words that I said

You see me crying
Please say you'll stick around
And I got to be your lover, honey
Let me take you to town
And I'll show you everything that I Know
And I'll never gotta let you down
'Cause my love is like a merry go round

Honey, what you done to your head
Honey, what's the words that I said

Honey, what you done to your head
Honey, what's the words that I said

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Aerosmith's "You See Me Crying" have a melancholic, introspective quality to them. The song seems to be about a lost love and the singer's emotional pain. The repeated lines of "Honey, what you done to your head" and "Honey, what's the words that I said" suggest a feeling of regret or loss, as if the singer is trying to understand what went wrong.

The first stanza sets the tone for the song, with the singer expressing his vulnerability and sadness through tears. He wants his partner to understand his pain and not let it bring her down. In the second stanza, the singer questions his partner's actions and words, possibly suggesting a betrayal. He finds it hard to understand and control his emotions in the aftermath of the relationship.

The third stanza takes a more hopeful turn, as the singer asks his partner to stick around and promises to show her everything he knows. He seems to be trying to convince her to give their love another chance. The song ends with the repeated lines of the previous stanzas, bringing it full circle and emphasizing the singer's emotional turmoil.

Overall, "You See Me Crying" is a powerful and emotional expression of heartbreak and regret. It showcases Aerosmith's ability to write deeply introspective lyrics and deliver them in a soulful and emotional vocal performance.

I was at this show. They filmed this at an Aerosmith show at Great Woods in MA in 2004 or 2005. They played Cryin' 4 times and told us to make a lot of noise because we would be in a movie. When the woman came out to song she was not as good as the movie...must have been post production magic. It was a great Aerosmith show though.

What your feeling is pure magic my friend. Such an epic moment in music history that will often go overlooked is Stephen Tyler's harmonica solo
