New World
Affliction Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The gate of hell is opening
With every single sin that's committed
The Road to perdition is getting longer
With exclamations from the shelters

I feel tired
I See hopes are nearly lost
I'm about to be exhausted

Everlasting greed and cupidity
Inhumanity reign in the cities
Innocent lives are taken by dirty hands
Crimson rivers are flowing on the streets

Babies are born marked by the guilty past
Open their eyes in irresistible agony
Crying out what is our sin?

The brand new world is rising
There is no dream and no feelings

Serenity has almost died out

Eras of breed of loathing

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Affliction's song New World paint a bleak picture of a world filled with sin, greed, and inhumanity. The gate of hell is opening wider with each sin that is committed, and the road to perdition grows longer. The singer expresses exhaustion and a sense of hopelessness as they witness the ever-increasing depravity around them. The cities are ruled by inhumanity and innocent lives are taken by dirty hands. The helpless babies are born marked by the guilty past and seem to suffer from the sins of their forebears.

The song paints a grim picture of a brand new world that is rising, devoid of dreams, feelings, and serenity. It seems that human nature has been corrupted beyond measure and generations of loathing have taken root. The lyrics speak to the human condition and the ongoing battle between good and evil. It is an artistic expression of the suffering that people experience due to the sins of others and the struggle to find hope in a seemingly hopeless world.

Without a fresh shield/some external can you survive on fester with 2 stacks of spore if you shadow ward? Also with your fester kill time do you think it was worth to still use NMIC or is it on the break point between being worth or not? Anyways really nice stuff

You can do anything in WoW when the whole raid is at your feet catering to your needs.

Ahlaundoh

using a cooldown on the highest dps with the least mobility is a war crime to noobs in wow@Thatdudewiththedogs

Thatdudewiththedogs

@Ahlaundoh nobody is saying it’s a crime lol, you just are super defensive and not really honest about what’s going on in your raids. You get fed. Pretty hard. You’re also extremely good. It’s not a huge deal lol.

On the first fight you got a teir piece proc around 35% and resnapped a corruption but wasn't so lucky on the 2nd fight. You did get the proc around 25% but chose not to. Is it not worth?
