The band was conceived by Pontus Wallgren in March 2003, and some time later the band's first song, Not Today, was recorded. They were immediately signed to Labrador that put the demo version of the song on their site. The feedback from visitors including the Swedish magazine Sonic (which wrote an article about the band just because they loved the song so much) was overwhelming. The debut 7“ single was released in October 2003 to positive reviews and, newly gained, fans acclaim.

In the summer of 2005 the band started recording an EP and after hearing the finished result, Labrador dropped the band. The search for a new label that would want to release the EP started. And in the late summer of 2006 they finally found a new home at Lavender.

I love this video. It has a simple, yet powerful message for viewers: Fear inhibits success, repetition reinforces learning, small accomplishments desensitize one to fear of failing, and praise for small accomplishments encourages one to progress. We just moved into a new apartment yesterday and we’re on the second floor. My puppy was shaking so bad and it made me tear up a little bit lol, I felt so bad. Today he walked down the stairs all by himself! He still struggles with walking up, so this video will be our guide. Thanks!

THANKS!!! My senior dog can easily handle stairs here, they're inside stairs and we usually take the elevator BUT we're moving and have to take stairs to get to our apartment and these are outdoor stairs as the others are thru 2 doors and enclosed. She has struggled every time with the new outdoor stairs and they're actually easier stairs, less incline and concrete so better grip, not as slick, but it's not been good. She's a trained IDAPI dog and has always been easy to train but this had me stumped. I will try your method what a blessing you are friend! Truly thank you from 2 seniors! She's a black with aging white and an upside down white heart on her chest, Border Collie Lab! Thanks again!

We just adopted a 5 year old black lab that apparently lived in a single level house her whole life. We have a wicked set of stairs and she's terrified of them. I think there's hope though, the first time up she was back and forth a few times before finishing and the second time she just sprinted up them. The bigger issue is down, she's 70lbs and I barely got her down the first time even offering food for each step. I think this would be easier if she had some trust in us first, but its the first day we've had her. She was born at her former owners home and he passed away, she was in a shelter for over a month and hasn't had any fosters. He didn't socialize her much so I think she's a bit traumatized at how much confusion she suddenly has in her life. I'm hoping she can get past this. She's so calm about everything else! Thanks for the video, I'm going to work with her using your advice.

@lonneke It went great! She mastered the stairs in about a week with no more fear at all. She's doing them 6 times a day now. We had to walk in front of her a bit at first until she learned the maneuvers so she wouldn't slip too much, but once she gained enough confidence she was fine on her own. One other thing I did was walk the stairs with my hands as she would with 4 legs, back and forth to show her how to move on them while she was laying at the top watching me. It looks alittle silly, but I think it helped her.

Gives me hope! I just adopted a 3YO dog in the same situation. I live on the third floor 💀😭 We get up the first flight of stairs just fine, but it’s the 2 set that gives us trouble.

What about a puppy who just refuses to go near the stairs to go up? I have stairs that you can see through but the actual stairs are concrete. She’ll go down the stairs but as soon as we go to go up she gets scared and lays down.

the only reason my dog is "easy" is because we have done a lot of work together and we have a lot of trust for each other. Start small and simple and then build from there.

I wish it was that easy with my dog he is a German Shepard and I have open steps that are wood and I can get him to come up any advice. I tried treats on the steps nothing tried a leash to show him I’m with him and still nothing. Any advice and help will be helpful.

my dog is 1 1/2 she slipped on the wood stairs last week and now she will go up but won’t walk down. she’s 100 pounds (half poodle half st. bernard) so we don’t know what to do. we installed carpet on the stairs so they’re less slippery but it isn’t helping

Hard to say exactly what to do without being there myself. Watch some of the principles I use in this video and try to apply them. An idea you can try is each time you feed move the bowl closer and closer to the stairs. Make slow movements and it will take a while but it should help the dog to slowly get more confidence about being around the stairs. It's really hard to give any advice from online without knowing the dog or seeing the whole situation so if you need to try and contact a local trainer.

Hi I just a 5 yr old lab 2 days ago and got her upstairs in my townhouse and didn't know she would be afraid to come back down. I need her to come down to get in and outside. She didn't go to the bathroom for about 40hrs. She is housebroken but she finally went on my bathroom floor. I move to a house in a couple of weeks but I can't have her going upstairs until then. Any expedited advice to offer? P.S. I got her to bring her front paws down to the third step but she leaves her butt on the landing.

Haha so does my bordoodle. I am still working with him, but for us I just sit right in front of him and slowly work his paws down the stairs as I scoot with him. Eventually he got bored and just tried walking down them more and more. Got him yesterday and he already knows how to go down half of them :)

ive notice that only mix dog who have mental problem and phobia , i am wondering WHY?
i have a Belgium Malinois and he s perfect , no fear o nothing , well trained and i have also a mix red heeler female she have a phobia of wind , houses window's, sheep smell, curtains, rollers, guitar, trash can , im tired of it BUT she s good as an alarm if you have a farm or house and also she can protect you from an aggressive dog

Please! My schnauzer has fear lf goimg down the stairs and up. My buiding doesn't have elevators and she goes down all anxious and just keeps anxiois all through the walk. I even payed a dog instructor to calm her and I don't see any progress.
