3. After Forever (Maryland, USA)
Hailing from Baltimore Maryland, After Forever was founded for the sole purpose of recreating through live performance the music of the legendary Black Sabbath. Comprised of veteran musicians, After Forever celebrates this music with a passion borne through nearly three decades of formal study, influence and outright fanaticism. We then employ gear and amplification that was designed to meet the tonal demands of Black Sabbath themselves.

Transitory
After Forever Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But you're blind, it's china you hold
As it breaks, suddenly it's clear
Beautiful but transitory
But we won't break easy
We won't give in to all unbearable pain
We'll pull through, we won't crack
Oh, transitory
Pain is as life itself
Evanescent as it fades
Transitory
Life, all you've got, all was swept away
Now you see what there is to miss
Suddenly you're stronger than you thought
As you know it's transitory
'Cause we won't break
Survival is all we've got
And our unbearable grief
We'll hold on and won't crack
And we'll value all life
Oh, transitory
Pain is as life itself
Evanescent as it fades
The lyrics to After Forever's song Transitory speak to the fleeting nature of life and the pain that comes with it. The first verse paints a picture of someone who is doing well in life, but is holding onto something fragile (represented by "china") that suddenly breaks, revealing the transience of life's beauty. However, the chorus assures that they will not break easily and will endure and survive through any pain.
The second verse continues on this theme, with the singer reflecting on how everything they had was taken away and they now realize what they've lost. It is in this moment of realization that they find strength and understand the transitory nature of life. The song concludes with the repetition of the idea that pain is just as fleeting as life itself.
Overall, Transitory is a powerful reminder to appreciate the present moment and stay strong in the face of hardship.
