Brother Sparrow
Agnes Obel Lyrics

Voices in the street
Footsteps on the concrete
Guess I hear just every sound
On the ground
From my window view
I know a color blue
That can bite so very hard
The day apart

Picture fresh as water clear
Days have passed without you here
Street lights dancing on the dark
Across the park
Waiting for a word from you
Waiting for a sign or two
Footsteps on the city ground
You know the sound

Brother Sparrow, whoa-oh-oh-oh
Come tomorrow, whoa-oh-oh-oh
To my window, whoa-oh-oh-oh

Brother Sparrow, whoa-oh-oh-oh
Come tomorrow, whoa-oh-oh-oh
To my window, whoa-oh-oh-oh

So strange that such a woman creates something so blissfully unknown in a world where most are obsessed with other pleasures. However she pours her heart out no matter what the inside contains and it creates a melody strong enough to capture another's heart

I was just about to say that most people don't get this kind of music. It's special. Anyone can listen to this, but not everyone really can.
I hope you get what I say

You can't expect that this kind of silent, calming and sometimes melancholic music could pair or compeete with popular lively music. It doesn't mean A.Obel's songs are worse. It's just the way it is. Lively music sells more CDs.
I wish Obel peace and much willpower to create more of this fantastic brilliant music.
