Pihlava came to Finland in 2003 and married with her husband Markku Hartola Pihlava.

Agnes Pihlava participated in the audition of Helsinki in August 2005. His interpretation of Sonata Arctica's song "Tallulah" gave 5.9% of the voting majority of the semifinals, and he reached the finals of Idols. On finalists compilation album of Idol she was criticized for the poor Finnish language skills. BUT Pihlava version of Sonata Arctica's "Tallulah" in January 2006 was three weeks musiikkilataamo.fi's best-selling song.

After this Pihlava signed a recording contract with Sony BMG's. Debut album When the Night Falls was published on 27 September 2006. 1980's of hard rock disc containing the songs are composed by at least the Lordi's Tomi "Mr. Lordi" Putaansuu ("Danger in Love"), Europe's Joey Tempest ("Changes") and Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica (Close the Gates). The album's first single "I Thought We Were Lovers" became a radio call in August 2006, and stores a month later.

Agnes includes Sonata Arctica, The Rasmus, Europe & Whitesnake as her main musical influences.
