1) The band Aida (from Finland), formed in 2006, released it's first three-piece recording "Vaiettu raja" freely on the internet in summer 2007. Aida continued its download policy with EP called "Tämän kylmän keskellä" also downloadable freely from their website www.aidayhtye.com. The newest release, "23:04/Sarastus" web single (2010) is also available under Creative Commons license.

I'm near retirement; also responding to this video ten years after the fact. I see NO reason not to pursue the Zeitgeist Movement AND the Venus Project. Sadly, they've parted their separate ways, but the overarching concept of a resource-based economy should be on the priority of all humans, IMHO. I will at least spread this message, and hopefully have inner talents or skills to contribute. I immensely appreciate the outside-of-the-box attitude of Peter Joseph, Jacque Fresco, Buckminster Fuller, and others who fully understand the talents of all humanity, and how they can be freed up rather than wasted. Kudos, Peter. Excellent interview.

Read about the album and listen to it for free (until Feb. 15th) at the NPR Music First Listen website. I think it is a wonderful album! I couldn't agree more. The great thing about ideas is, like science, if they become obsolete (i.e. The Industrial Revolution) they can be replaced with greater concepts that benefit humanity in unfathomed ways. The hard part is convincing people that, despite being proven wrong, the newer and better idea should in fact be celebrated instead of shunned over outdated concepts. And no problem with the "blind reaction."

I do love the way Peter thinks, I'm not so much a fan of Fresco though. Personally I found it illogical to use a conceptual artist for a designer for frugal attempts of a dying society to cling on to a way of life. A circle is not the best layout for a city, it's whatever the ground says is so. Organization can be useful, but what would be the most safe is if people could be completely self sufficient again. This impending energy reality check will grant the survivors that reality

Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not, for a moment, claiming that he is trying to establish himself as a leader. In fact, I have no notion that he is trying to attain such status. I'm talking about those of us who like the ideas presented in his documentaries and the likes. We should not worship the man, but the idea. I'm not even accusing anyone here of looking to him as a leader. All I'm saying is that we can't lose sight of ourselves as equivalent human beings; we are all the same.

As much as I like Peter's ideas, we should NEVER revere him as a leader. If he is a truly good and honest person, he would not want us to follow him as a leader. It's his ideas and influence on us to have our OWN ideas that should be followed, not the man himself. He's just a human like the rest of us. The same goes for great people like John Lennon, Ayn Rand, and many others. Peter and others should live by the motto: "Don't stand in front of me, don't stand behind me, stand beside me."

Also, I'm not stating that Peter believes he is better than any of us. I'm only speaking of those who may confuse following the ideas and beliefs for the betterment of humanity with following the man. As there are people who, in a sense, worship the man John Lennon, there will probably be people who revere Peter Joseph as their "leader." Neither John nor Peter would want that.

I hold Joseph's critique of advanced (or consumerist) capitalism and Western society in high regard, but his slavish devotion to the centralization of production (which is one of the root causes of social stratification, if you actually examine the abortion of the Neotechnic Revolution by the Paleotechnic Revolution) and his rejection of free(d) markets force me to reject his post-scarcity solutions, which I am very skeptical about, though they deserve consideration. This is why I'm a mutualist.

There's nothing wrong with religion, everything it portrays and influences is only to be a good person, and reap the rewards, now most people reject religion because it is used in a bad way in a lot of cases, such as terrorism, propaganda, and in a countries motives, but nothing is wrong with its meaning. What an angry man. So worried about the end of humanity, but unwilling to bring forth a child. I sense no joy in him, only contempt for the people he wants to save. Society will progress on its own terms. In the scheme of 100,000,000 years what does it matter how it plays out? @Jdonovanford You didn't understand the Zeitgeist movement at all.....there is no "believe" as the new system would be based on a "resourced based economy", that means that we all work toghether based on the good management of the resources (that we have, no need to believe in anything there!), not the control of them and the property from where these resources come from as we do now! The system now believes in the value of currency and it depends on perception rather than on reality. Simple!
