Aiden is an American punk band from Seattle, Washington, that formed in the spring of 2003. The current members are William Control (vocals & guitar), Nick Wiggins (bass), Keef West (drums), and Ian MacWilliams (guitar).
They have released 6 full length albums, 2 EPs, and 2 live DVDs. Their latest full length, entitled Some Kind of Hate, was released on October 25, 2011, being the follow up to Disguises, also released in 2011.
The band's name comes from a character named Aiden from a movie called "The Ring". In 2004, the band were signed to Victory Records and some members were still in high school. Their second album and debut for Victory Records titled Nightmare Anatomy, was released October 4, 2005. On October 31, 2006, Aiden released an EP/DVD titled Rain in Hell. While the CD didn't receive rave reviews, the acoustic track "Silent Eyes" and the ethereal opening track "A Candlelight Intro" hinted towards a broadening of Aiden's musical style. The DVD included 3 music videos and a live performance of Aiden's "Never Sleep Again Tour" in Chicago. During October and November 2006, Aiden played the "Never Sleep Again Tour" with Silverstein and It Dies Today.
The band's third studio album entitled Conviction, was released on August 21, 2007. It marked a complete change of style in the band's musical direction. In June 2008, guitarist Jake Wambold was kicked out of the band. In December of that year the band announced they were back in the studio working on a new album.
Aiden released their fourth studio album Knives on May 12th 2009 (May 11th in the UK). This album showed a more satanist-hardcore direction for the band, and bare little resemblance to its predecessor, Conviction. The band said they expected those who didn't like Conviction to love this album, as well as those that were fans of their entire collection. The album release was preceded by the release of the first single, Scavengers of the Damned through iTunes.
Aiden's live album, From Hell...With Love , was released in 2010.
In May 2011, following the release of Disguises, Jake Davison(Drums) left the band, and was temporarily replaced by Ryan Seaman for part of the "Horror Nights" tour.
In October, the band released their second full length album of 2011, and 6th overall, named Some Kind of Hate.
On January 1, 2012, founding member Angel Ibarra (guitar), announced his departure from the band, via the official "AidenVision" youtube channel.
Aiden's William Control said the next album might be in the fall of 2013 and will be the last Aiden album and will be based on fiction.

The Last Sunrise
Aiden Lyrics

Bite the blood that drains the life inside of me and fills your soul eith love and hate and all those things you need to breathe.
My body dies, but still my soul remains eternally in search of Caspian waves and shallow graves.
Explain,why me?
This nightmare won't last long.
Are you scared?
So sing this song.
I'm right there by your side.
I watched the sky bleed grey with see-through shades of violent, bloody stains and felt the evil prime and wicked start a course straight through my veins.
I'm so alive, my skin so cold and fake.
I close my eyes,
I know that now's the time to take my chance with death and realize.
Sunrise, sunset, will you wash away the rain?
Sunrise, sunset can you wash away the pain?
This nightmare won't last long.
Are you scared?
So sing this song.
I'm right there by your side.
Tonight we've got a chance.
This nightmare won't last long.
Are you scared?
So sing this song.
I'm right there by your side.
Tonight we've got a chance.
So mute and beautiful to me,
a promise kept on high,
an angelic look at life through open eyes.
Don't be scared, we'll make it work.
We're right on time, don't make things worse.
Now I'm right there by your side.
(Sunrise) I will avenge.
(Sunset) I can't pretend.
(Sunrise) I won't forget this vain.
(Sunset) attempt and promise kept.
Just one more night to make up for the loss of love and time.
Here comes the sun to rid this world of see-through blood and swollen light.
Sunrise, sunset, will you wash away the rain? Sunrise, sunset, can you wash away the pain?
This nightmare won't last long.
Are you scared?
So sing this song.
I'm right there by your side.
Tonight we've got a chance.
This nightmare won't last long.
Are you scared?
So sing this song.
I'm right there by your side.
Tonight we've got a chance.
The last sunrise.
The lyrics for Aiden’s song The Last Sunrise are about a tumultuous and destructive relationship. The singer is aware that their partner is sapping the life out of them, but they are still in love and cannot fully let go. The chorus is a plea to the partnership, asking if it is scared and offering reassurance that they are in it together. The line “sunrise, sunset, will you wash away the rain?” speaks of the hope for a clean slate and a fresh start, one where the rain and pain can be washed away.
The verse “I watched the sky bleed grey…” is about the singer’s realization that their partner is poisonous and causing them to change. They describe feeling alive but with skin that is cold and fake, signifying a change in demeanor. The chorus appears again as a mantra, attempting to make the relationship work, despite it being a “nightmare”. The line “just one more night to make up for the loss of love and time” speaks to the desire to keep trying and hoping that things can improve.
The song ends with the singer acknowledging that this is the “last sunrise” and the belief that the next day will bring a new beginning. The line “here comes the sun to rid this world of see-through blood and swollen light” speaks to the hope for a brighter future.

I'm 31 and from the UK. Saw these guys live in 2006 at download festival.
Was at the front with 20,000 people behind in the snickers tent.
People laughed when they came out and booed.
Everyone cheered and applauded when they finished that set and smashed it!
