1. A power/thrash metal band from Japan (1983-present). Check ＡＩＯＮ.
2. A gothic metal band from Poland (1996-2004).
3. A metalcore band from Kristiansand, Norway.
4. AION is also a Swiss black metal band from Sion, Valais (2013-present). They've so far released one full-length album Verses of Perdition in 2015.
5. Aion, also known as AIΩN, was a French Industrial Rock group from Nancy that formed in 1990. The two musicians behind the project were Laurent "Bart" Steiner and Stéphane Vadviz. The group was linked to Rock Identitaire Français (RIF) and played a couple of shows with leading Identitarian bands. Their sound was an eclectic mix of Coldwave and Martial Industrial as well as Neofolk and Industrial Rock. They credit Laibach and Death in June as their main sources of inspiration. Check AIΩN.

It's captivating story/lore, highly customizable character creation and appearance settings, lengthy and deep soundtrack, gameplay from blatant battle to item crafting to freely flying around, visuals/artwork in world and atmosphere, truly FTP status, and thriving market and player base are serious inspirations.
