Their sound is usually compared to that of Aussie rock legends AC/DC, though they also draw heavy influence from other Aussie bands like Rose Tattoo and The Angels. They have entertained audiences on the main stage at the 2006 Big Day Out and at such legendary venues as The Tote, The Espy, The Duke of Windsor, The Gaelic Club, Spectrum, The Metro, as well as putting on a highly-praised set at the prestigious Wacken Open Air Festival in 2008. Airbourne have also shared the stage with The Rolling Stones, You Am I, The Living End, Mötley Crüe, Motörhead, Rose Tattoo, Magic Dirt, After The Fall & The Detroit Cobras to name a few.
Their music has been featured in NHL 08, NHL 09, Skate, Madden 08, Madden 09, Guitar Hero World Tour, a trailer for Medal of Honor: Airborne, Nascar 08, a Battlefield: Bad Company trailer, WWE's Royal Rumble 2008, and Burnout Paradise.
Come on Down
Airbourne Lyrics

This is the place
Get your guitar, get your drums,
Baby get your bass
Come on down, to where it's all real
This ain't no mine
All you gotta do is stand up and shout
The following line: "come on down"
Come on down
Come on down
Come on down
Come on down
Get your beer, get your poison
Get your fun stuff
'Cause we'll have a party that'll never ever stop
'Til the sun comes up
This is no riddle, this is no rime,
Just a good time
Same damn show, same damn songs,
Night after night
Come on down
Come on down
Come on down
Come on down
You don't understand, I play to win
I don't play to loose
I came here tonight to do one thing,
To lay it on you
This is no game, no bullshit,
This is for real
We're gonna rock and we're gonna roll,
Until you squeal
Come on down
Come on down
Come on down
Come on down
Come on down
"Come on Down" by Airbourne is a high-energy rock song that encourages listeners to come to their live performance and let loose. The opening lines suggest that the listener should bring their own instruments, stating "get your guitar, get your drums, baby get your bass," as if they were inviting fans to come up on stage and jam with them. The repetition of the phrase "come on down" throughout the song is a command to fans to physically come to the show, but also suggests that they will be descending into a wild, rock and roll world.
The lyrics also detail the kind of atmosphere the listener can expect to find at an Airbourne show - a place where you can drink, party, and rock out all night long. The singer asserts that their music is not about pretension or any kind of aesthetic - this is not a "mine," as he puts it - but rather, about having a good time. The song envisions a world where night after night they perform the same songs, but every performance is still exciting and electrifying.

Saludos.
