I'll take it back I swear
I just don't want you to go
I've got designs for our life
and all I see is you
your eyes are stars that shine
and it's made a halo, around your head
I can see you floating
this way about someone
I've been all alone
couldn't I stay just a while
I've got something for you
as the snow falls around you, like tiny stars
The lyrics to Airiel's song "Halo" convey a sense of regret and desperation. The singer acknowledges that they may have done something wrong and pleads with the other person to not leave them. They express their deep feelings for the other person, declaring that they have "designs for our life" and that all they see is the other person. The imagery of the other person's eyes being stars that create a halo around their head suggests a sense of awe and admiration on the part of the singer. They even imagine the other person as "floating," perhaps suggesting a sense of otherworldliness or perfection.
Despite their intense feelings, the singer acknowledges their loneliness and admits that it's been a while since they've felt this way about someone. They offer the other person something, which is described as something that exists amidst a snowfall of "tiny stars." The imagery here creates a sense of magic and wonder, accentuating the romantic and emotional tone of the song.
Overall, "Halo" is a song that reflects the highs and lows of love, capturing both the intense feelings of infatuation and the fear of losing someone beloved.

The background textures used in this song are so beautiful. Some people listen to a song and all they care about is the singer's voice, but a song like this is so much more than that... I really dig long songs, and this one is a good one!
@ygunayer
Sounds so much like a Red House Painters song. In fact, if Mark Kozelek were to sing in this song I'd never have guessed it wasn't!
