One More
Airport 5 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Four elements, pay tribute
to one more
all people
good hearts
One more
have you discovered
another cold planet
one more
have you discovered
another cold planet
one more
Moses from the mountain
give us another rule
one more
noses to the window
eyes that can see

one more
have you invented one more?
Another bad memory
one more
a stunt learnt
a microsecond burnt
one more
another stage dive
another headache
one more
have you reported
by nine to all the glory
of one more!
Out there in the wild universe

the open book
the baited hook.…

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Airport 5's song One More seem to be a reflection on mankind and the continuous pursuit of progress. The first verse describes how the four elements (earth, air, fire, and water) pay tribute to "one more," which could be interpreted as humanity's constant search for more knowledge, power, and achievements. The lyrics "all people, good hearts" suggest that this pursuit is driven by the desire to do better and make the world a better place.

The second verse continues this idea, asking if people have discovered another cold planet or invented something new. It also references Moses from the mountain, a biblical figure who received the Ten Commandments from God, suggesting that people are always seeking new rules or guidelines to live by.

The final verse expands on this idea by painting a picture of humanity looking outward into the universe, both fascinated and afraid by what they might find. The lyrics "the open book, the baited hook" suggest that there is always something new to discover, but with it comes the risk of danger or disappointment.

Overall, the lyrics of One More seem to be a commentary on the never-ending cycle of progress and the human desire to constantly push forward despite the risks involved.

You can't open-hand slap a grown man and not expect to get punched in the face...

@Luis Olvera Your statement makes no sense. You are contradicting yourself. The "fight" you refer to started the second Smith slapped Rock. Just because Rock didn't fight back changes nothing. Someone got struck. It's a fight and it was on the Oscars.

@Marco Ylagan nope, go watch the full video

As a retired airline employee I can tell you that people take wheelchairs all the time... and not because its needed by a handicapped person. They load their luggage up on them and take them into the open parking lot or the parking garage and LEAVE THEM. They won't pay to rent a cart for $3. Also, it's the airport that charges $3... not the airlines. Sometimes a passenger will take a wheelchair from a different airline than he is flying on. In the meantime the skycaps are running all over looking for abandoned wheel chairs for people that do need them. * Just for the record and for those mis-interpreting my statement... It is not okay for the employee to strike anybody. That goes for passengers too.

@BlaqueKotton "The people that do this do not care and you can't reason with them"...... For the most part that is true. Once in awhile you can reach somebody. Having said that I would like to add that saying something to someone just isn't for them. It's also for the people around them... who see the bad behaviour and think it must be okay. Sort of a public service announcement. As another example... Ever since the airlines charged for baggage people would go to the gate with these gargantuan bags and try to bring them on as carry-ons. We would stop that person and make them pay what every other rule abiding passenger did at the counter. If we didn't then other passengers would see this person trying to bring an oversized bag on... and we say nothing... and they start thinking why should I pay, I'll just start taking my bag to the gate. So you see it's not just about the one person you can't reach... it's about all the others around them as well.

@BlaqueKotton Ok, I didn't see that. Sorry!!!!

BlaqueKotton

@Count Floyds Chiller Horror Theatre 3000 You are definitely wrong because I clearly stated in my comments its deplorable to take wheelchairs and handicapped parking spaces when you don't require them. Have a good day!
