It's simply a difference in opinion and taste, nothing to do with any expertise mate. Personal memories and experiences can certainly have an influence with which tracks or particular versions you find special though, and there's nothing wrong with that at all.
I think with the original version , it's simply those, uplifting, euphoric sounds that I find particularly special, especially where the main melody and strings are concerned.
The intro may not be anything highly original, but it does it's job well. The bassline is nice, and those plucky sounds give off those warm, fuzzy feels as it builds.
The Johan Gielen Remix just seems pretty messy to me. It certainly keeps you guessing, because it's so random. The percussion I find OTT, the bass line sounds like a cheapened copy of the 'Lethal Industry' which also feels like it's in the wrong key compared to the rest of the track/breakdown...and the two note riff that accompanies for large parts of the track grates after about 10 seconds IMO.
Again, it's simply one opinion vs another. There's no definitive right and wrong answer, just two music lovers with different tastes here :)

Superstrings played this live in Rotterdam at A State of Trance 2024. I didn't know the track, but it was simply beyond beautiful.💫🛫

The original right here of this magnificent Track is Still My All time Favorite Trance Music Records up there with the likes of My Lexicon Greece 2000 and Billy Hendrix Body Shine plus Cafe Del Mar three n one version Plus Saltwater the legacy the Alphazone Version some of the best Modern Electronica Music was made During the late 90’s and early 2000’s when I was just a Young Pup of a kid growing through life and I will also compare to the likes Of Svenson and Gielen Twisted And Barthezz’s on the move and Infected Hits as one of the All time Greats that kicked Off Trance Music’s Movement Into the 2000’s and early 2010’s and just pure high quality Electronics Instruments Funtastic Music
