He started as a bedroom producer, taking inspiration from EDM producers K-391 and Ahrix, along with film composers Hans Zimmer and Steve Jablonsky. He was better known as DJ Walkzz before signing a deal with the record label NoCopyrightSounds and releasing his hit debut single "Fade" in 2014, followed by "Spectre" and "Force" the following year.
In the aforementioned year - 2015 - Walker released his most well-known single "Faded", a remastered vocal version of "Fade", on 8 December; featuring uncredited Naustdal pop singer Iselin Solheim. The said single charted well globally, and made it as the lead single of the artist's debut album "Different World".
The album also features most of his popular songs including "Sing Me To Sleep" with Iselin Solheim, "Alone" with uncredited vocals from Noonie Bao, "Darkside" with Au/Ra and Tomine Harket and more. "Different World" was officially released on 14 December 2018, and since then, it gained billions of streams on Spotify alone; with "Faded" being the most streamed with over 1B streams.
On 26 November 2021, Alan Walker released his second studio album "World of Walker", which consists of 15 (13 songs, 2 interludes) including "On My Way" with singer Sabrina Carpenter and rapper Farruko, "Alone, Pt. II" with Ava Max, "Fake A Smile" with salem ilese, and his older unreleased song "Heading Home" with Ruben. His sophomore might've not met the same success as his debut, but it handled hits nonetheless.
In 2022, he announced his Walkerverse world tour, alongside his upcoming album of the same name which was released in two parts. Its first part was released on 17 June 2022, with its first tracks being: his remix of "Adventure Time" with Philter, "Somebody Like U" with Au/Ra, "Blue" with Ina Wroldsen, along with previously released songs "The Drum" featuring uncredited vocals by Kristin Carpenter and "Hello World" with Torine. The "Walkerverse, Pt. II" which was released on 25 November 2022, contained yet another five songs: "Extremes" with Trevor Daniel, "Shut Up" with UPSAHL, "Catch Me If You Can" with Sorana, "Lovesick" with Sophie Simmons, then later on "Ritual".
Along with each of his musical achievements, Alan Walker is also mostly known for his usual public appearance - which is him in a hoodie and face mask - as well as his logo which was his initials intertwined. According to him, it is to keep a low profile, but then also stated that the mask is now more of a sign of unity and being alike each other.
Throughout his decade-long and counting career, he amassed over 40M YouTube subscribers - notably being the second most subscribed EDM artist, and 50 billion audio and video streams.

Hey person scrolling through the comments right now,
you'll probably never see me ever again because I'm only 1 of the billions people out there, but all I wanted to say was, I hope you have a wonderful day.
Don't let anyone or anything bring you down.
You're special in your own way and don't let anyone or anything take the feeling of being special away from you.
Love❤❤❤❤

This impactful and contemplative song delves into the themes of life, love, and deception, encouraging its listeners to contemplate their decisions and experiences. The lyrics serve as both a source of inspiration and unease, making it a unique and thought-provoking piece of art.
Throughout the song the phrases "We live, we love, we lie" is intermittently interwoven within the melody, evoking the paradoxical nature of existence. Life is a beautiful yet unforgiving journey, filled with intricate tribulations that must be skillfully navigated. Sometimes we deceive those we hold dear, despite our love for them. These incongruities are inherent to the human condition and contribute to the captivating essence of life.
The song's lyrics remind us that exploring the unfamiliar and embracing risks can help us learn about ourselves. "Venture down the unknown road" inspires us to step outside of our comfort zones and discover more about our true identity. This message holds great significance in a world where countless people feel adrift and uncertain about their purpose.
Overall, this inspiring and beautiful song encourages listeners to Embrace life's contradictions and pursue self-discovery.
The song shed many tears and stopped many tears. This was a part of everybody.
I came to the conclusion that; everyone has everything in common. We live, we love, we lie. Thus, my life was just as invaluable as that of a Smurf cat.
Thank you, Alan, this was just as fire as 5 years ago.
