Ghost
Alazka Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
When the time has come
And no one's left to save me
Is there any chance
I know I might be wrong
Not enough to doubt
That the one thing I pursue and
Are like a cage for me
One that I create
Still unlocked but can I realize
Before it's too late
But if suddenly
You were standing right in front of me
I could barely hope and dare to say
That you're the reason why
I'm on my own now
Tell me
When the time has come
And no one's left to save me
Can we leave it all behind
And start again
Can we start again
Let me think again
Take a second glance
Can I really dare to hope there is
A second chance
To give up on it
Leave that hate behind
And eventually get to smile again
When you're on my mind
And now finally
You are standing right in front of me
Liberation when I came to see
I may be on my own
But I don't hate you
And when the time comes
I'll greet you as a friend
Let go of all the stories
I thought would never end
The time comes
What I know to be true
All along I've been waiting for you
All that I want
To move on beyond
And I know that I was wrong
So tell me
Can we leave it all behind
And start again
The lyrics of "Ghost" by Alazka showcase a deep sense of self-reflection and introspection, as well as a yearning for a fresh start and a chance at redemption. The song revolves around the theme of personal growth and the desire to break free from self-imposed limitations.
The opening lines, "Tell me when the time has come, and no one's left to save me, is there any chance," express a feeling of desperation and a realization that the individual is responsible for their own salvation. They question if there is still a possibility for change, despite their doubts and fears.
The following lines, "That the one thing I pursue and what I'm all about are like a cage for me, one that I create," suggest that the person feels trapped by their own aspirations and identity. They acknowledge that they have the power to unlock this metaphorical cage but wonder if they can come to this realization before it's too late.
The chorus, "But if suddenly you were standing right in front of me, I could barely hope and dare to say that you're the reason why I'm on my own now," reveals a longing for someone who has played a significant role in their life. This person is seen as both a source of liberation and the cause for their current state of solitude. The individual recognizes that they are on their own now, but the presence of this person still has a profound impact on them.
As the song progresses, the lyrics transition from yearning for this person's presence to questioning if they can start anew. The lines, "Let me think again, take a second glance, can I really dare to hope there is a second chance," demonstrate a willingness to reevaluate their perspective and embrace the possibility of a fresh start. They express a desire to leave behind negativity, move beyond their past mistakes, and find happiness once again.
The closing lines of the song, "All that I want to move on beyond, and I know that I was wrong, so tell me, can we leave it all behind and start again," encapsulate the central message of the song. The individual acknowledges their faults and expresses a sincere desire to let go of the past, reconcile with the person they yearn for, and embark on a new journey together.
Overall, "Ghost" portrays a deeply introspective journey of self-discovery, forgiveness, and the longing for a chance to start anew.

I like how both vocalists have an equal amount of their parts in this video. It's well balanced.

This is the type of scream I love. Scream with passion, emotion. And the clean vocals are not there to kill the mood, they fit perfectly. And good god, how magnificent is the instrumental especially from 3:02 onwards. This album is about to be one of the best releases of this year. Sharptone Records MADAFACKAZZZZZZZZ
@Ben-qb4lj
SO TRUE..I hate hearing screaming with no relation to the music. I think we're in the minority though. Have you heard SYLAR'S new album "help"? Its. Just. Spectacular. There isn't a bad song.. literally
@sampatterson7386
You should check out Dayseeker if you haven't already. 'The earth will turn' has some of the most heartfelt screams. The rest of that album is pretty good too 😄
@nickl6362
