Fallaste Corazon
Albert Hammond Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Fallaste corazón, no vuelvas a apostar.
In Albert Hammond's song Fallaste Corazon, the singer addresses an individual who believed themselves to be the king of the world, incapable of forgiveness, and cruel and heartless. The person is now in a state of begging for affection, even if it is out of pity. The lyrics question where their pride and courage have gone, as they are now in a state of defeat and seeking charity. The singer expresses pity for this individual and acknowledges that loving and being loved are not the same.
The chorus repeats that the singer is happy to see this person suffer, cry and humiliate themselves before great love. The lyrics suggest that life is like a roulette wheel, and everyone bets on their luck. This person had experienced only winning, but now their luck has turned, causing them to fall. The singer suggests that this person should not bet again.
The lyrics of Fallaste Corazon explore themes of pride, forgiveness, and the unpredictability of life. The song encourages empathy for those who experience defeat and reminds them that luck can turn at any time. It also highlights the importance of forgiveness, as those who fail to do so may find themselves suffering and alone.
