He is immortalised in song by Half Man Half Biscuit in their 1986 track "Albert Hammond Bootleg".
His son, Albert Hammond, Jr., is a guitarist in The Strokes.

Existe aquí en México una estación llamada "El fonógrafo" dedicada a la música antigua y retro y estoy segura de haber escuchado este tema en otra versión alguna vez, no sé si en bolero. La letra me gusta mucho, es muy realista y amorosa a pesar de todo. Como es evidente, estoy aquí por Albert 😅 Ay, a veces me gustaría ser capaz de viajar en el tiempo y poder hallarlo así de joven sólo para decirle que lo estimo y transformarlo luego en un recuerdo bonito. Así es Ingrid, esta es una vieja canción de 1944 que se ha grabado en múltiples ocasiones, la más reciente es quizá la de Luis Miguel. Particularmente la mejor versión que he escuchado es esta de Albert.
