Alceu Valenca was born in countryside Pernambuco, Northeast Brazil. He is considered the most successful artist in achieving an aesthetic balance between traditional northeastern Brazilian music and a broad range of electronic sounds and effects from pop music. One can find traces of maracatu, coco and "repentes de viola" (improvising fast-paced Brazilian folk music) in most of his songs. Alceu was able to utilize the electric guitar the electric bass, and lately even a synthesizer was added to his broad scope of musical instruments.
Because of that, Alceu was able to recreate Northeastern traditional music, like baiao, coco, toada, maracatu, frevo, caboclinhos, embolada and repentes: all sung with a sometimes rock sometimes alternative sounding music background. His music and his themes are intangible, universal and unlimited. However, his aesthetic basis is genuinely Brazilian Northeastern music.

Teu estandarte tão raro, Bajado criou
Usando tintas e cores do imaginário
The song "Bicho Maluco Beleza" is a lively tribute to a crazy, beautiful creature who lives in the Largo do Amparo. This creature is celebrated for its rare, vibrant banner that was created by Bajado using the colors and imagery of the imagination. However, this creature has caused many pains to its hunter. It is feared by families and lacks compassion for others. It has disrupted countless lives and relationships, taking advantage of opportunities and stealing princesses. Despite this, the creature remains fascinating with its mystery, charm, and wide smile.
The lyrics of the song create a contrast between the beauty of the creature and its destruction, between its charm and its cruelty. The creature is both enchanting and terrifying, and this duality creates an intriguing character that draws in the audience. The song can be seen as a comment on the unpredictable nature of life and the power of beauty, which can mask underlying dangers.
