Characterized by melodic guitars and strong female vocals, Aleixa's sound has been aptly described as, "Debbie Gibson in a blender".

The band was founded (as Sorrow of Seven) in 1990 by Kevin 131, and became "Aleixa" in 1994. Other contributors to the project include Laurel Snapper, April Lassiter, and Stephanie Pummill.

They released two albums: 1996's "Honey Lake" and 1999's "Disfigured". Further, they contributed both new and previously released tracks to several compilation albums during the course of their career, which lasted until sometime in 2001.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Aleixa's song Five seem to be about a person who walks into a room where his/her partner is already present. However, the partner seems to ignore them and instead, raises their glass to someone else.
