Will you look at what we were?
Whether wrong or right
No one can tell
Whatever it takes
The reason to believe you
I won't let go
Sunset boulevard
Don't fade away
Let's take a walk in the dark
Sunset boulevard
Let's make belief
All the water was written in your heart
Near or Far
It'll always lead to us
Whether high or low
We carry on
Whatever it takes
The reason to believe you
I won't let go
Holding onto innocent meaning
Sunset boulevard
Don't fade away
Let's take a walk in the dark
Sunset boulevard
Let's make belief
All the water was written in your heart
The lyrics of the song Sunset Boulevard by Alex M.O.R.P.H. are about memories and being true to oneself. The opening lyrics, "Black or white? Will you look at what we were? Whether wrong or right, No one can tell" signify a reminiscence of the past and the singerโs contemplation about how right or wrong their past actions were. The line is a rhetorical question that points out that the past cannot be changed and that things happened as they did.
Next, the lyrics move on to talk about holding on to something important. The lines, "Whatever it takes The reason to believe you, I won't let go Holding onto innocent meaning" reiterate the importance of not giving up on something that one believes in. The singer believes that in order to live a fulfilling life, one must have reasons to believe and hold onto innocent meaning.
The chorus of the song is about Sunset Boulevard, which metaphorically represents a place of lost memories. The singer does not want to forget the past and wants to hold onto the memories they have. They urge the listener to "take a walk in the dark" with them and make-believe that "all the water was written in your heart", pointing out the importance of holding on to the memories one has had and the nostalgia attached to them.
Overall, Sunset Boulevard by Alex M.O.R.P.H. is a powerful piece of music that urges the listener to never give up on their beliefs and memories.

Yeah that same thing happened to me. I was an avid listener to ah.fm back when this first came out. There were a bunch of tracks from like the 2006 to 2009 period that were so amazing, but I wasn't going on the forums or anything back then, so I have no idea what the tracks were called. I can't even remember how many of them sounded, I just remember how they made me "feel". I wish there were someone who could compile a list of the popular trance tracks with female vocals from that time. Then maybe I'd be able to find a few of those gems. It's crazy to me that so many wonderful tracks are all but lost and forgotten. They're still just as amazing and impactful, but almost no one knows about them, unless you were there when they played.
