Sorry if i’m trauma dumping but my best friend passed away earlier this year and it has been really impactful for me. He showed me Final Fantasy XV and we had a fun time drinking while exploring the game. I recently played the game for myself and the games theme of brotherhood hit me really hard in the heart, I miss him every single day and it feel’s unfair that this world goes on without the people we love. I wish he could have seen the Gta 6 trailer, I wish he could have married his girlfriend, I wish so many things that I will never see materialize but we’re still here to do those things people we lost could not. I hope Florence knows how much of a blessing this cover was for me. My wife and I did this as our first dance for our wedding. @@amberxv4777 I have to disagree with you. Instead of reading trolls commends and repeating them read what the director of FF XV has to say about the story. He says that they told the story from Noctis's perspective. There were few parts in the game which they had to show what's going on behind the scene so the story makes sense but for the most part, The story is what Noctis is experiencing during his journey.
DLCs are all fans requested. They didn't release DLCs to complete the game. The game has already been completed without DLCs. Because Hajime Tabata respected fans so much and released these DLCs doesn't mean the main game is incomplete. I have 100% respect for Hajime Tabata's work and his decisions.

i randomly got the game back in 2017 when my dad picked it up from the store. little did i know that day when my hands touched that controller to play, it was gonna be my favorite game to ever play. they all deserved such a happier ending. i wish there was a way to play out iggy's alternate ending in episode ignis instead of bits and pieces of those cut scenes. wither way, the alternate ending will always be the true ending in my eyes. the devs did phenomenal on this game. idk so many people hate it.

This game introduced me to Final Fantasy. I remember when I first got it. I had about $266 bucks because of my birthday and I was in a mall, so I decided to hit the local Game Stop to browse some games. There wasn’t any games that caught my interest until I saw this game with the day one edition. I thought since so many people talked so much praise about the Final Fantasy series I said fuck it and bought the game. Let me tell you what happened next. I spent over 170 hours on the game completing everything and never getting bored once. If you are starting FFXV, I only ask this: do not rush the game. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the journey as much as you can. I took about three months and it hit really hard! I love this game and, before it's release, I was completely jaded about it. I was like "four guys in a car!? What crap is this?!". It is a true Final Fantasy experience, even though the story is not perfect! It's one of my favorite games of all time and my 4th favorite FF title (only behind FFXIV, VI and IX).

I feel a certain kind of emotional while listening to this. At the beginning of the game you're like "this is nice, just an adventure with the boys"
Then at the end you're in floods of tears, because you never wanted the adventure to end. You wanted to keep hunting monsters, going from place to place, taking photos with the gang.
You know why Noctis had to die, but it still it just...sucks so much that Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio had to lose their brother. It's gonna take a long time for them to move on and learn to live without him.
I'm perfectly fine with how it ended but...MAN does it get you right in the feels

I only finished the game like a week ago on my first play through. It was the first Final Fantasy game I had ever played, (a side affect of not being born before the older ones came out), and boy did it rip my heart out. I put so many hours into that game and after not playing for a while I finally picked it back up and for two days after I came home from school I just sat down and started playing because I was dead set on getting to the end. Little did I know it would be one of the most depressing game endings that I’ve ever experienced, and now I can’t listen to any version of stand by me without tears starting to stream down my face.

This song straight starts with the same music as when you cross the bridge in the 1980s USA final fantasy release.

In the 1980s, "Stand by Me" was still a huge music hit, 20 years after it had been released.

Without going into a lot of detail, all I can say is that Square Enix hit a grand slam with this game. This is the primo video game stuff that you talk about, years after you played it (just like FF7 and 8 and 9)

This game, this damn game, I just picked it up because as a kid I saw all these people talked about how much they loved the characters in it. Skip ahead to 2020 and it’s quarantine and I just got some money from my dad to buy a video game on steam. So me finally able to afford it, picked it up. Let me just say, I had become so attached to these boys on their journey. Every day after work I would load up the game and I would drive around and just take my time enjoying how beautiful the scenery was and really trying to get every detail out of it. Not to mention I was alone for most of the day. Not being able to see my Irl friends due to circumstances. It sounds dumb but it really felt like I was hanging out with my friends again with Gladiolus Prompto and Ignis. Then skip ahead to tonight, I had taken a trip to visit my friend in another city and brought my computer. I told my friend about this game with the cute anime boys and we got so into it. We watched the anime and played it together. We just finished it, and I can’t tell you how hard we both cried together. I just have to thank the guys so much for keeping me company through covid. Thank you.

I absolutely love this version of the song, but it most definitely evokes some serious emotions. I’ve played and loved other FF’s, but XV took things to a whole new level. By the time you get to the end of the game you feel connected with the guys. You’re invested in their friendship on a level you wouldn’t think possible. It’s heart wrenching when you see that last camping scene and know what lies ahead. This song just gives the ending a whole new level and depth of emotion to the experience.

Not once have I ever felt so connected to fictional characters or their story as I did with this game, and Florence’s rendition of such a great song just made it all the more real.

My friend loves FF XV, I’ve never played it but I know a lot about it from her. She showed me the end credits to the game with this song playing and I teared up. The use of this song and the cover itself make for something truly incredible. Not only do they incorporate the classic FF prelude into an otherwise almost totally faithful cover, this is a game about 4 bros going on an adventure. Having nostalgia for both the film Stand By Me and the Final Fantasy series makes for an incredible emotional ride. When the game started i was amused and wondered if it was a reference to the movie rather than just an appropriate song for the theme and story. By the end, like everyone else, it had me in tears.

Man what a game "stand by me" already held a special place in my heart and then I saw this beautiful story. I remember when it came out and I called one of my brothers to check up on him and I had mentioned I bought an xbox one and this game. We all grew up with final fantasy, so naturally he was interested in my opinion of the newest game(at the time) and he was in disbelief when I said it was a story telling masterpiece comparable to the classics. I wasn't lying if this story didn't touch your heart, it's not the games problem it's a you problem. To this day I think brotherhood is probably the most intense emotional bond a man will feel in his life.
