This is true, I always thought things got easier because that’s what I’ve been told for over 4 years now. I held on to that and have beat myself up for it wondering why I haven’t been able to let go and heal. True grief really is life long, it’s something that lingers and consumes you in your darkest times.
I needed to be reminded my mom lives on through me, I’ve lost sight of that recently and I’ve been in a downward spiral for a couple years now. Thank you.

I have listened to this song at least a dozen times now, just liking the song. Tonight on my drive home the lyrics hit me like a brick wall and I sobbed like a baby. All I could think of was mi Abuelito. My father figure. When I got home to tell my Mom about it (He was her best friend) she stopped me to tell me she knew, another song had found her too. Today is the anniversary of the day he returned to the lord. I had forgotten, my mom and I bonded over this, he was so loved. This song not only reminded me of his death, but of how much he was loved. Thank you for this song, and the reminder.

this hits so different. i found you on snapchat and hace been following for a couple months. this is beautiful. my granny was my absolute best friend. i lost her in 2016. it’s felt like i lost a piece of myself. i got a tattoo in her memory so i’ll always have a piece of her with me. i miss her so much. this song truly encapsulates that grief.
