🪆 Yunchan Lim Plays Scriabin 🪆

Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915)
Piano Sonata No. 2 in G-Sharp Minor (Sonata—Fantasy), Op. 19 (1898)

00:08 I. Andante
07:16 II. Presto
10:50 Applause

”...the first movement represents
the quiet of a southern night on the
seashore; the development is the dark
agitations of the deep, deep sea. The
E Major middle section shows the
caressing moonlight coming after the
first darkness of night.
The second movement represents the
vast expanse of ocean in stormy agitation.”

Bravo so gifted Yunchan Lim for this nterpretation of Sonata-Fantasy from Scriabin
This is one of the most emotionally impactful and beautiful short pieces of music I've ever heard;
Scriabin's distinctive sound is other-worldly and definitely is ecstatic.Totally unique.
One has only to hear the first bar to know the composer. Scriabin labored mightily over this composition which,
to me, has everything one could ask for. The ending is just stupendous.
And the whole piece is totally unusual, outstanding, with multiple creative harmonies.
that's why I often listen him to inspire me as a major reference.Thank you so much Yunchan! ― Yan Ayrton, a YOUNG innovative classical composer in development and evolution from the XXI century..It is time to discovery my music.

“I am God! I am nothing, I'm play, I am freedom, I am life. I am the boundary, I am the peak.” -- Alexander Scriabin

I'm beyond mesmerized. It's delicate, it's haunting, ever so intentional, and yet unassuming. Takes me to another dimension.

He is like the most beloved essay book to me. I read those same stories over and over, but each time I learn something new and I get happy feelings.

The cord at 6:55 sounded like it was through an echo effect. What a touch he has. Amazing.

I totally fell under his spell. He has a delicate touch that can create a rich variety of colors, and he excels at bringing out the lyrical side of the music. He lets the music be alive. I almost got seasick because of the 2nd mov's waves.😁
