Alexandra Lyrics

The song "Erstes Morgenrot" by Alexandra is a tribute to her homeland, and the emotions it evokes in her as she remembers it. The opening lines of the song describe the first rays of dawn shining over deep forests, with winds blowing clouds and mist over the fields. The singer feels this first light brings her a greeting from her homeland, the distant land where she was born. She reminisces about the birch trees she used to see in the dawn, shimmering silver from the dew of the cool night. The lyrics also suggest that the songs of the land played a crucial part in making her feel happy. The first light of dawn brings back the most vivid and satisfying dreams from her homeland, and she cherishes them deeply.
The song's imagery presents the beauty of the natural world, something that the singer misses and which connects her to her homeland. She recalls the grasses that sway by the wide lakeshores and the swans that fly over the fields, heading north. The song ends on a poignant note, as the singer wonders what happened to everything she left behind, her familiar home, and friends. "Erstes Morgenrot" is an emotional and soul-stirring piece of music, full of nostalgia and hope.
