The lyrics to Alexandra Stan's song "Mr. Saxobeat" describe the effect that the saxophone has on the singer. It starts with the repetition of the same line, "You make me dance, bring me up, bring me down, play it sweet," which refers to the way the saxophone makes the singer feel. Each new line that follows similarly describes the singer's experience of being moved and feeling like a "freak" by the saxophone, with "Mr. Saxobeat" being the personification of the power, rhythm, and energy of the instrument.
The second half of the song switches to a direct address to someone referred to as "sexy boy", with the singer asking them to "set me free" and "play with me". The lustful energy of the song, combined with the saxophone's role in driving the song forward, creates an overall effect of sensuality and passion.
Overall, the lyrics to "Mr. Saxobeat" showcase the power of music to move and uplift people, as well as the personal and emotional relationship that can form between a person and a particular musical instrument or style.
