Summer's Gone
Alexandre Bergheau Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I feel like you do
We lay here tomorrow.
The night tells the truth.
But I don't wanna know it now.
These blinding lights they fade to
Black. Can't see it coming no way back.
I feel like you do, now summers gone.
But we're not alone.
But we're not alone.
But we're not alone.

But we're not alone.
But we're not alone.

Overall Meaning

In Alexandre Bergheau's song Summer's Gone, the lyrics depict a sense of uncertainty and hesitation when it comes to acknowledging the truth. The singer admits to feeling the same as their partner, implying a mutual understanding of the situation they find themselves in. As they lay together, the night reveals the truth, but the singer is not ready to face it just yet. The blinding lights are a metaphor for the harsh reality that is approaching, with no way to prevent it from happening.

The repetition of "but we're not alone" at the end of the song suggests that despite the looming truth and uncertainty, the two individuals find solace in each other's company. It could also imply that they are not the only ones going through this experience, and that others have dealt with similar situations before.

Incredible and emotional melody here, I'm loving the vocals in this. The drop has a good trancy sound too even if it's not as powerful as the melody for me.
But yeah Alexandre Bergheau did a good job on this :D

@kartik saluja Don't know if it would have fit with the style of the drop, it'd have changed it completely I think, and that's maybe not what he wanted to do ^^
