Alfa Mist Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

For me now, what I'm realizing is I
I'm done trying to treat people as if they're finished beings
Because we're all unfinished basically, we're all unraveling
So it's very unfair for me to act like I've - I've got you figured out

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Alfa Mist's song .44 deal with the realization that people are constantly evolving and changing. The singer has come to understand that it is not fair to judge or treat someone as if they are a finished product because we are all unfinished and constantly unraveling. This line of thinking suggests that it is important to give people space to grow, change, and make mistakes without being judged or labeled.

The use of the metaphor of "unraveling" suggests that human beings are complex and multifaceted, and that we are constantly working through different experiences and emotions that shape who we are. The singer's recognition of this truth can be seen as a positive step towards empathy, understanding, and acceptance. The lyrics also suggest that it is important to approach others with humility, recognizing that we do not have all the answers or all the insight into the internal lives of others.

On a serious note I play this everyday... this kind of music is timeless

@BatmanHQYT

That quote at the beginning is so simple yet so apt. You could argue that many of our conflicts and misjudgements about one another stem from the tendency to view people as "finished beings", incapable of real change.

@Eph1xia

well said, we all changing. so is everything else. it'd do quite a bit of good to acknowledge that. i'm writing that down
