Passion
Alfie Zappacosta Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I got a frantic disposition an all consuming mission I'm after you
I'm a stick of dynamite ready to ignite because of you
It's a desperate situation, a physical frustration
I don't know what to do
And I don't have pretty things to offer you
No cars no diamond rings
And I can't afford these things to soften you
Baby, all I've got to give to you is passion

I won't accept the blind rejection,
you can hold inspection if you want to
Take a look you'll realize though there's madness in my eyes
It's all because of you
Seething, reeling, caught up in my feelings
God I gotta get through to you
And I don't have pretty things to offer you
No cars no diamond rings
And I can't afford these things to soften you
Baby, all I've got to give to you is passion

Seething, reeling, caught up in my feelings
God I gotta get through to you
I'm a stick of dynamite ready to ignite because of you
And I don't have pretty things to offer you
No cars no diamond rings
And I can't afford these things to soften you

Baby, all I've got to give to you is passion
All I've got is passion

Such an incredible voice. He’s gotten better with age. This version was absolutely incredible! The tasteful classical guitar accompaniment was the icing on the cake.

Love the riff on this tune. Singing it in the kitchen, loudly, while doing the dishes and remembering life in the '90's, makes me so happy. Oh, Alfie, thank you for bringing us this magnificent song.

Saw him in concert in a small venue in my town. Met him and his piano player as they were taking a break in a small room next to the washroom. They invited myself, a friend and her husband in to have a chat. So cool! Very down to earth and sweet as can be. Love Allie!
