9) Alice, Alice burst onto the Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts hardcore and screamo scene early in 2006. Two years and two new members later, the 5 piece band is reaching the peak of their creativity and punishing crowds with their brutal, yet melodic live act. Yeugene Barokha provides the lead vocals and tickles the ivories of the keyboard, Jeff Brown and Roger duel on the axes, Dan Hetu lays down the powerfully tight bass lines, and Bobby Malice bangs out the beats with utter abandon. Combining all these elements results in something much greater than just the sum of its parts. Alice believes they owe every bit of success to their fans, and pours every ounce of energy into every second of their music to pay them back. myspace.com/alicerock1

Alice Lyrics

He wrote in great detail
How cleverly he planned
All of the killings
How precisely he executed
His insane fantasies
It was all so perfect
One thing, one thing, one thing
I like to watch from my car
I like to make sure you don't go far
I know the hours you sleep
Don't approve of the company that you keep
While you're in work I'm alone
In your room, on your bed and you'll never know
I like to go through your things
The touch, the smell, the joy it brings
I know where you live
I know where you hide
I know what keeps you alive
I know where you go
I know who you know
I know where you're spending your nights
I don't like the guy in the suit
Or that street punk in the combat boots
You may not see them again
I showed them a quick but a painful end
I know where you live
I know where you hide
I know what keeps you alive
I know where you go
I know who you know
I know where you're spending your nights
I see, I feel, I watch over you
I see, I feel, I watch over you
I want to know what you say
I need to hear the prayers you pray
I like to play with your hair
When you sleep and you dream
And there's no one there
I know where you live
I know where you hide
I know what keeps you alive
I know where you go
I know who you know
I know where you're spending your nights
I see, I feel, I watch over you
I see, I feel, I watch over you
I see, I feel, I watch over you
I see, I feel, I watch over you
I see, I feel, I watch over you
I see, I feel, I watch over you
The first verse of "Prologue/I Know Where You Live" is from the perspective of a group of people who have found a diary belonging to someone who has planned and executed various murders in great detail. The diary reveals how meticulously this individual planned and executed their crimes. However, the verse hints that there was something wrong or imperfect about their plan, which is left to the listener's interpretation.
The second verse is from the perspective of the murderer, who seems to be taunting their victim. The lyrics suggest that they like to watch and stalk their victim, relishing in the knowledge of where they are and what they are doing. The murderer has a sense of control over their victim's life, even going as far as to dictate who they can and cannot be around. The lyrics suggest that the murderer has access to the victim's personal space and belongings, going through their things and taking pleasure in the sensory experience of touching and smelling their possessions.
The chorus declares that the murderer knows everything about their victim, from where they live and hide to what keeps them alive. The lyrics are suffused with a sense of dominance and control, suggesting that the murderer has power over the victim's life and that the victim is powerless to stop them. The final verses continue to emphasize the murderer's sense of control and dominance, culminating in the repeated refrain, "I see, I feel, I watch over you."
Overall, "Prologue/I Know Where You Live" is a dark and unsettling exploration of the twisted psyche of a murderer.
