She signed with Sony Music in 2012 and released her first self-titled studio album, which gave rise to numerous performances and projects. The album is mostly composed of compositions by the artist herself, solo or in partnership, except for the re-recordings by Dorival Caymmi and Björk.
Her second studio album, Rainha dos Raios (2014), is based on re-recordings and contains only two copyrighted songs, one of them in partnership with Michael Sullivan. In 2015, her song "Como Vês" was featured in the soundtrack of the miniseries Felizes para Sempre?, aired by Rede Globo. In October 2015, Alice started working on the production of her first live DVD, directed by Paulo Borges.

Alice Caymmi Lyrics

Que dói demais
Dentro do meu coração
As vezes eu tento te esquecer
Mas eu acho que isso
Não é a solução
A solução é você voltar
E nós dois juntos nos amar, então,
Que te ame assim
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Eu te amo, meu amor
Desde quando você se foi
Que dói demais
Dentro do meu coração
As vezes eu tento te esquecer
Mas eu acho que isso
Não é a solução
A solução é você voltar
E nós dois juntos nos amar, então,
Então eu acho que não tem ninguém
Que te ame assim
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Eu te amo, meu amor
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Eu te amo, meu amor
Eu te amo, meu amor
Eu te amo, meu amor
Eu te amo, meu amor
Eu te amo, meu
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Eu te amo
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Princesa, por favor volte pra mim
Eu te amo, meu amor
Eu te amo, meu amor
The lyrics of Alice Caymmi's "Princesa" convey a heartfelt plea for a lost lover to come back. Although the singer has tried to forget and move on, the pain inside their heart is unbearable, and they realize that the only solution is for the lover to return. The lyrics express the deep love the singer has for their "princess," who no one else could ever love in the same way. The repeated refrain of "por favor volte pra mim" (please come back to me) reinforces the desperation and longing of the singer.
The song's simple and repetitive melody, combined with Caymmi's soulful and emotional singing, creates a melancholic and introspective atmosphere that perfectly matches the lyrics' sentiment. The use of the word "princess" gives a fairy-tale quality to the song, but the reality of the situation is far from ideal, emphasizing the universal pain of losing a loved one.
Overall, "Princesa" is a touching and poignant representation of the pain of loss and the desperation for love. The straight-to-the-heart plea for the lover to return creates a relatable appeal for anyone who has experienced a similar situation.
