Andas diciendo por ahí
Lo que por mi tú sufriste
Que te quieres desquitar
De alguna forma cobrar
Lo que por mi tu perdiste
Y qué culpa tengo yo
Mi manera de querer
Si yo soy una mujer
Y tu no supiste ser
Lo que debe ser un hombre
Qué fácil es saber
Cuando el cariño se acaba
Y qué me quieres cobrar
Si nunca me diste nada
Más si quieres terminar
Y de una vez aclarar
Con lo que tu andas diciendo
Las cuentas ven a saldar
Veras que en vez de cobrar
Me sales debiendo,
Las cuentas ven a saldar
Verás que en vez de cobrar
A mi me sales debiendo
"Y que poco vale el hombre
Que no valora a su mujer"
Qué fácil es saber
Cuando el cariño se acaba
Y qué me quieres cobrar
Si nunca me diste nada
Más si quieres terminar
Y de una vez aclarar
Con lo que tu andas diciendo
Las cuentas ven a saldar
Veras que en vez de cobrar
Me sales debiendo
Las cuentas ven a saldar
Verás que en vez de cobrar
A mi me sales debiendo
The song Las Cuentas Claras by Alicia Villarreal is about a woman who is being accused of mistreating or not loving her partner, and the partner wants to get revenge. The woman confronts the accusations and challenges her partner to settle their accounts (cuentas claras) and make everything clear between them. She questions why he should try to get even with her when he did not give anything to their relationship. The woman also suggests that the reason why their relationship failed was that her partner did not know how to be a good man.
The lyrics show a woman who is unafraid to stand up for herself and demand respect from her partner. She explains that she will settle the accounts and that he will end up owing her rather than the other way around. The meaning behind the song is that a healthy relationship cannot be based on revenge or trying to hurt the other person, and that it takes two to build and maintain a strong relationship.
Overall, Las Cuentas Claras is a powerful song with a strong message of self-respect and the importance of healthy relationships. The lyrics are both emotional and empowering, making it a popular choice for those going through tough times in relationships.

You will see that instead of charging me
Me sales debiendo
You owe me
