She is also colloquially known as the 'Indian Madonna' and earlier as 'Baby Doll' (the name of an early album), until she underwent an image change.
Chinai is most famous for her 1996 single and album, titled "Made in India" which contains her most famous track "Lover Girl." Throughout her successful years, she had a number of big filmi hits like Roundhe (Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya), Sona Sona Roop Hai (Bollywood/ Hollywood), and the controversial Sexy turned Baby Mujhe Log Bole (Khuddar).
However her pop music career ended as her follow-up albums were less successful.
After a continuing a not so good career in pop music, Alisha decided to go back to film music. Her comeback song was known as "Oh My Darling" from flop Mujhse Dosti Karoge), which ended up being the worst song on the soundtrack. Her career ressurected on "Chot Dil Pe Lagi" (Ishq Vishk) where she teamed up with Anu Malik after stating she would never work with him again in 1995. More hits followed such as Dil Ko Hazar Bar (Murder), Pyaar Aaya (Plan, and Tinka Tinka (Karam). Her biggest song to date came through the success of Kajra Re (Bunty Aur Babli). The song was huge and Alisha success grew as she won the Best Female Singing Award. Other hits after Kajra Re included No Entry (Ishq Galli Mein (No Entry and Aaj Ki Raat (Don)

Tarzan my tarzan
Aaja mai shikhau
Tujhe pyar kaise ho
Oho tarzan my tarzan
Aaja mai shikhau
Tujhe pyar kaise ho
Aa meri baaho me aa
Phul sa biga badan
Jhul jara pani me kyo
Jal uthe do badan
Jaane hume kya hua
Tarzan my tarzan
Aaja mai shikhau
Tujhe pyar kaise ho
Oho tarzan oho tarzan
Mujhko gale se laga
Hath le dil pe mere rakh jara
Sanse thahar jayegi sathiya
Dhadkega yu dil mera
Tarzan my tarzan
Aaja mai shikhau
Tujh pyar kaise ho
Oho tarzan oho tarzan
Ab koi bhi fasala
Na rahe tere mere darmiya
Chehre se julfe hata
Chum le hotho ki ye narmiya
Tarzan my tarzan
Aaja mai shikhau
Tujhe pyar kaise ho
Tarzan my tarzan
Oho tarzan oho tarzan

The song "Tarzan My Tarzan" by Alisha Chinai is a playful and flirtatious number that speaks of a woman trying to teach Tarzan, the wild man, the ways of love. The lyrics revolve around the theme of love and how Tarzan can learn to express and reciprocate it. The woman in the song urges Tarzan to come to her and embrace her in his arms as she teaches him the nuances of love. The lyrics are filled with imagery of nature, with references to water, flowers and the softness of mouths, adding an element of sensuality to the song.
The chorus of the song is repeated several times throughout the song, with the line "Tarzan my Tarzan, Aaja main shikhaun, tujhe pyar kaise ho" meaning "Tarzan my Tarzan, come to me and let me teach you how to love". The verses are more descriptive and elaborate on the theme of love and desire, with the woman in the song urging Tarzan to hold her close, kiss her softly and feel the love between them.
Overall, "Tarzan My Tarzan" is a catchy and playful song that is enjoyable to listen to, with its simple and repetitive lyrics evoking a sense of fun and lightheartedness.

Of course the music and Alisha's voice is a given, what I truly admire about the song is how elegantly and sensously Kimi carried it with aplomb. No one can find her cheap or obscene and that's art... pure art!
