Alizée entered the music business in 2000. She has since released four studio albums — first two of which were composed by Laurent Boutonnat and written by Mylène Farmer. Her first album was Gourmandises, which received Platinum certification within three months of release. Gourmandises was a success both in France and abroad — after it had its international launch in 2001 — earning Alizée the distinction of being the highest selling female French singer in 2001.[3] The album featured her most successful single "Moi... Lolita" which reached number one in several countries in Europe and East Asia. Gourmandises was followed by a second studio album Mes Courants Électriques in 2003, which was also quite successful, though not as big a hit as Alizée's debut album. Following its release, Alizée toured France during the fall of 2003, performing in 43 concerts throughout France, along with Belgium and Switzerland.[4]
Alizée married fellow French singer Jérémy Chatelain in late 2003. Following her marriage, she took a hiatus from singing before returning with a new album, titled Psychédélices, on 3 December 2007.[5] Her fourth album titled Une Enfant Du Siècle was released on 29 March 2010 and showcases her new mature persona, while distancing herself from her earlier lolita figure.

Lo ou bien Lola
Do pareil au même
Moi Lolita
Moi je m'appelle Lolita
Collégienne aux bas
Bleus de méthylène
Moi je m'appelle Lolita
Coléreuse et pas
Mi-coton, mi-laine
Moi Lolita
see'est pas ma faute
Et quand je donne ma langue aux chats

Moi Lolita
The song "Moi Lolita" by Alizée talks about a young girl called Lolita who is misunderstood and judged by those around her. The song is from the perspective of Lolita, who explains that people judge her without knowing her or understanding her true self. She introduces herself as Lola or Lolita, and when she dreams of wolves, it is Lola who bleeds. The phrase "Moi je m'appelle Lolita" is repeated throughout the song, emphasizing that this is who she is and she cannot change it.
Lolita describes herself as a high school student who wears blue stockings with methylene and is sometimes angry. Although she is a phenomenon, she keeps it hidden from her mother. She is misinterpreted by others who are quick to judge her based on her appearance or reputation. When she tries to communicate with others or give her opinion, her words are taken the wrong way. She is an innocent who is not responsible for other peoples' misconceptions of her.
Overall, the song is a commentary on how society unfairly judges young girls based on their appearance and behavior. It highlights the need for people to put aside their biases and prejudices and take the time to know someone before making assumptions.

The problem is, i don't know French and i couldn't even remember the melody or the video at all.
I just knew that when i was a child, one foggy late afternoon in fall i sat in my father's car in front of the train station and waited for my mother who was about to arrive with the train.
This song played in the radio. And i was a huge fan of it. But i didn't share this one thing i liked by telling that i liked this song so much. It was my personal, private little home of sentiment.
So i looked around the streets that were getting dark, blue grey light, cool mist in the distance, and there stood a man with a coat and a hat and a suitcase, somewhere on the sidewalk, in between a row of pale pillars.
This one picture is burned deep inside my memory, together with the tones and beautiful language of this song.
Since then i always connected these two things so much that at times i thought the video included the picture and the impression, as i even didn't know the real video.
For years i have tried to reawake this special memory, relive this one moment again by listening to this song of my childhood. But whatever i tried, whoever i asked, wherever i searched for it, i couldn't find it anywhere.
Today, i was again trying, with little expectation, looking through the charts of 2000-2003, somewhere around there, looking at hundreds of song titles, but of course it wasn't there.
Literally on the last song of the playlist was a suggested video i hadn't yet been seing before in all those lists and without much expectation i clicked it, just to make sure and because i was curious.
And then, it happened - i heard those tunes again that i had thought i would never hear again!

Youtube had the perfect suggestion for the first time in my online experience. 👌

This song has been my lifelong fever dream!
Being a 90s kid, dance music was at it's peek and we was blessed with some absolute classics. One song in particular though, has haunted me for years. I couldn't remember the name, the artist, a single lyric, questioned if it was even dance, questioned my own sanity if it was even real.
I would type all sorts of things into google. "Music video, laundry, doing make-up at club, sister". They were the only particles of information I could piece together from my childhood memory. This was a song I would have on repeat, all summer, but all these years of searching (and I do mean years of searching) had left me to believe I was just jigsawing together various different songs from distant memories and this was all made up...
... Until today.
Thank you for uploading this, restoring my sanity and restoring childhood memories of some of the greatest days of my life!
