2) Female fronted 80s heavy metal band from Japan. Alkaloid was formed in July 1984 in Tokyo and features female vocalist "Angel".
3) Alkaloid is the producer name of Rob Kanters. He started producing under this name since 2005 and hooked up with Unfinished Monkey Records in 2006. Blending dubstep, jungle, breakcore with ska, gypsy and many different other styles, he guarantees to set the dancefloor on fire.
4) ALKALOID CREW are DJ O-MAN(also konwn as BeYonD), JIN, and ALKALOID dancers. ALKALOID is the PSY-TRANCE project, and the concept of the project is providing dramatic and enjoyable stages for everyone. By its unique style, ALKALOID had a big influence on the clubs in Japan, and the members perform in various parts of Japan. And they also have performed at reception parties and fashion shows of top international brands like 'JET SET' to which Kate Bosworth belongs. In the beginning of 2007, they had performed at the new year party in Beijing, China, and last December, they performed as ALKALOID CREW in a 12th anniversary party of velfarre. In recent years, they had performed with variousใartistsใin Japan and international artists. and moreover ALKALOID DANCER performed with Infectedmushroom and YOJI BIOMEHANIKA. So, ALKALOID DANCERs must be the originators of trance dancers in Japan!! In 2006, O-MAN was chosen as the 16th place of the best DJ rank in the music magazine "LOUD", and last year, he got 12th place!!! O-MAN's play style is crossover of PSY-TRANCE and various genres like TECHNO and HARD HOUSE, etc, andใ he also took Electro Sound to his play because he thought it has a large influence on club music. As DJ BeYonD, he also plays various genres like TECHNO and HOUSE. Those tracks and dance make "ALKALOID LIVE STYLE" wonderful and those would be the new PSY-TRANCE style!! http://alkaloid.syncl.jp/

Like space dice hurled
Four of us made it to the core
Hailed our kin to come pouring in
And come they did, by the crore
Across eons, craving more
Dragging clusters with us,
Star by exploding star
We set the stage to assuage
And fix the half-a-trillion-body problem
Caustic gas moving fast
Bending world lines to our delight
We have amassed, blast by blast,
Let's meet the monster at last
Forging Elysium
On a frail equilibrium
Of radiation and gravity
We hatch the Dyson galaxy
Turn on the light
Sending spirals to the giant
Turn on the light
With a swarm of singularities
Turn on the light
And never lose momentum
Feed the monster
Turn on the light
Plasma soars from the poles
Incandescent spires climb the dark
Spacetime roars around black holes
Strung along prongs of light
In arcs of topology reborn
Twining space into a lace of toroid horns
Gargantuan tree of life
Colossal lucifer rising high
From the starry plane
A seething hive, alive again
Behold the mark we carve
From raw continuum

Invert the sky
Curled into fugal vortices
The swarm now mines the ergosphere
Halo-driven sentinels swirl
Scatter to outrun expansion
Catch a ride to the Great Attractor
To colonize and breed

The lyrics of Alkaloidโs "Numen" are both cosmic and metaphorical, imbuing a sense of exploration and ambition that is almost mythic in scope. In these opening lines, the imagery of "space dice hurled" symbolizes randomness and the unpredictability of existence. The phrase "four of us made it to the core" invokes a sense of a select elite, perhaps representing a collective consciousness or a group of pioneering spirits striving to delve deep into the heart of the cosmos. The invitation for "kin to come pouring in" connects the overarching theme of community, expansion, and the restless human craving for progress. The mention of "by the crore," alluding to millions, suggests an exponential and unstoppable force, a gathering of minds and endeavors that spans not just time but the very fabric of reality itself.
The notion of momentum is emphasized in the second stanza, acting as a driving force that sustains this cosmic journey. The phrase "dragging clusters with us" suggests a collective accumulation of knowledge, experience, and perhaps even life forms as they travel through the universe. The reference to "the half-a-trillion-body problem" introduces a complexity central to astrophysics, referring to the difficulty of predicting the motions of systems with countless gravitational interactions. This line speaks to the intricacies and challenges faced by those daring to tap into the powers of the universe. They aim to โset the stage to assuage,โ representing an effort to master these difficult challenges and create harmonious order, hinting at a grand design that seeks to heal or stabilize the chaotic existence of celestial bodies.
As the stakes rise, the imagery becomes more fantastical and almost existential. The lines about "caustic gas moving fast" and "bending world lines to our delight" convey an exhilaration in manipulation of the cosmos, showcasing a thrill in orchestrating and shaping the universe itself. This interplay of forces, as described with "blast by blast," speaks to the raw energy and explosive potential inherent in cosmic phenomena. The mention of โmeeting the monsterโ suggests an encounter with something profoundly larger or more powerful than the creators themselvesโpotentially a representation of awareness, existence, or even a deity-like figure. This sets a tone of both reverence and defiance, as humankind engages not only in discovery but also in confrontation with the unknown.
The latter verses evoke concepts of evolution and transcendence, culminating in the idea of โforging Elysiumโ on a fragile equilibrium of opposing forces: radiation and gravity. This metaphor conjures images of paradise amid chaos, indicating that from the turbulent existence of stars, a higher order or state of being can emerge. The phrase "turn on the light" symbolizes enlightenment or awakening, inviting listeners to participate in illuminating the universeโs mysteries. As they journey toward Kardashev IVโa concept derived from Russian physicist Nikolai Kardashev, referring to a civilization that harnesses energy on a galactic scaleโthere is a tangible sense of ambition mingled with existential dread. The verse "God, are you there?" raises poignant questions about the nature of divinity and existence. It suggests that in their pursuit of knowledge and power, the cosmic voyagers are simultaneously reaching out for a greater understanding of the universe, and perhaps ultimately, an answer to humanityโs place within it.

The entire galaxy alters its course,
In luminous display
Creating a spectacle of radiant beauty.

Finally an Alkaloid song about my favourite Seinfeld character
@PenguinDT
Finally the album arrived in the mail and I took my time to listen to it. This... this is something else. "Rise of the Cephalopods" is my all time fave metal song and oh boy, did you guys top yourselves with "Numen". Thank you, both Alkaloid - and Season of Mist for trusting these madlads with a record deal even at the risk of the utter destruction of the cosmos.
