All India Radio’s music is of the stars - celestial musings comprised of crystalline guitars and sweeping synths, creating sounds and vistas that are ethereal and immersive.
Kennedy does not hide the source code for his inspiration: All India Radio covered Pink Floyd’s ‘Set The Controls for the Heart of The Sun’ in the album ‘Afterworld’ and used artwork by veteran British artist David A Hardy, originally intended to grace the cover of what was to become ‘Dark Side of the Moon’, for the album ‘Space’. But result is no derivative pastiche or carbon copy: All India Radio have carved out their own breathtakingly beautiful path in the field of ambient pop.
The strength of the band and of Kennedy himself is augmented by the ability to bring out the best in others through collaborations. For example, his album 2021 album ‘Jupiter 13’ with iconic indie star Steve Kilbey from The Church was listed by UK magazine Backseat Mafia as one of the best albums of 2021.
Kennedy has also collaborated with prog metal legend Devin Townsend who appeared as a guest on All India Radio’s most recent release ‘Afterworld’ along with Graham Lee (The Triffids), classical guitarist Gareth Koch (Steve Kilbey) and Tasmanian singer songwriter Sasquin.
In turn, Kennedy has been drawn into Townsend’s orbit after Townsend fell in love with All India Radio’s album ’The Slow Light’ and the song “Can You Hear The Sound’, which he covered as part of his Quarantine Project in 2020.

You're not small
You're not anything
Normal at all
You're exquisitely extraordinary
You're fabulously fine
Mine
You're not overly serious
You're not anything
To be bought or sold
You're exquisitely extraordinary
You're fabulously fine
Mine
You're so heavenly
You're so heavenly
The song "Morning Drops" by All India Radio is a tribute to someone special, a person who is not ordinary or normal in any way. The first two lines of the chorus say, "You're not ordinary, You're not small," which tells us that this person is unique and has qualities that set them apart from others. The next line, "You're not anything normal at all," confirms that this person is not like anyone else.
The chorus continues to establish this person's exceptional qualities by describing them as "exquisitely extraordinary" and "fabulously fine." These are powerful words that suggest this person is not just special, but truly exceptional. The final line of the chorus, "You're mine," is a declaration of love and possession, which suggests that the singer has a deep connection with this person.
The second verse reinforces the idea that this person is not to be underestimated or misunderstood. They are not overly serious or cold, and they cannot be bought or sold. These lines suggest that this person is not interested in material things or superficial relationships; they value authenticity and connection above all else. The final line of the chorus, "You're so heavenly," is a fitting way to end the song, given the emphasis on this person's unique and divine qualities.
Overall, "Morning Drops" is a powerful and emotional tribute to someone special, a person who is truly exceptional in every way.
