The band released their self-titled debut in 1995 to much critical acclaim and media attention. New Jersey's Gern Blandsten Records stepped in and issued the band's 1998 follow-up, Turning Into Small. 2000 yielded a third ANL&LF full-length, 'Straight Blue Line', a collection of 7" singles, b-sides and unreleased tracks recorded from 1995 to 1997. In 2001, a souped-up reissue of their debut with four additional unreleased tracks was released.
Often referred to by fans as simply 'L&L', the band was active for 6 years from 1993 until 1999. From 1986 until 1993, most of the same lineup performed under the moniker 'Senepede', but weren't a dreampop/shoegaze outfit until 1991.
You can now find them now in solo projects- Jett Brando, w/Jeremy Winter | Ifwhen, w/Merc | Dalek w/Joshua Booth | Stiv 1 w/Stephen Doherty. Sadly we may never see them perform together again.
Your Imagination
All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Don′t hide
I died inside you
Inside you
Inside
The songs are mine
To see the floor and hit the ground
Rewind, ′cause I don't,
I want to let you know
Till now, tonight I was
And now we're asking
Should we never die?
And never grow apart
And never die
And never grow apart
And never die
And never grow apart
To never die
To never grow apart
To never die
As long as it lasts with you
Forever
And forever
Will it last forever?
Will it last forever?
Will it last forever?
So we will, its seems
We′ll live forever
The lyrics of All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors' "Your Imagination" seem to be cryptic and open to interpretation. However, the song appears to be about a relationship that is intense and all-consuming. The singer urges their partner to open up and not hide from their feelings. The phrase "I died inside you" may refer to the feeling of being so deeply involved in a relationship that one loses oneself in the other person.
The second verse seems to suggest a fear of the relationship failing or ending. The singer asks if they will "never grow apart" and if the relationship will "last forever". There is a sense of desperation in these lines, as if the singer is trying to hold on to something that is slipping away. Ultimately, the last lines of the song suggest that the desire to keep the relationship alive is so strong that the couple will "live forever".
Overall, the lyrics create a mystical and dreamlike atmosphere. The repetition of "never die" and "never grow apart" creates a sense of eternity and timelessness, as if the relationship exists outside of time.
