The band's next, The Fall of Ideals was released on July 11, 2006 to acclaim from all angles, including Kerrang! and Metal Hammer. The first video from the album was This Calling, which was featured on the soundtracks of both Masters of Horror II and Saw III. It was followed by The Air That I Breathe. Additionally, their song Six was featured on the Guitar Hero 2 game for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360.
On January 11, 2007, the band announced their new drummer, Jason Costa, previously of Diecast. 2007 also has seen the band's first US headlining tour, which also featured Misery Signals, The Human Abstract, Light This City, and Cellador. All That Remains also made a special appearance at the New Jersey show of Sounds of the Underground in 2007.
A third video from "The Fall of Ideals" for the song Not Alone was released in mid-2007. Also, the band's DVD, entitled "All That Remains Live", was released in November of 2007. Currently, the band is co-headlining on tour with trivium.
The bands fourth effort, Overcome, is a combination of hardcore screaming and clean singing, best example being a song for the hopeless. The cd is a departure from their previous efforts, but it can still be appreciated in many ways.
In addition, they have released three of their songs: This Calling, Chiron, and Two weeks, as a welcome addition to any rock band players library.
On October 17, 2018, guitarist Oli Herbert died from drowning from a prescription overdose. He was 44 years old.

And Death in My Arms
All That Remains Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
From gold to gray
Gray now broken my foolishness displayed
Hands tight around her throat this violent loving embrace
Lying restful safe in my arms
Steady rhythm trust she'll come to no harm
Sleep the horror as the nightmare it ends
I hear her whisper a sweet sound
Fanning the flames
These thoughts consume me and leave me wallowing
Gray now broken my foolishness displayed
Hands tight around her throat
This violent loving embrace
My fingers tremble her lips move silently
One last I love you crush my resolve again
The lyrics to All That Remains’s song And Death in My Arms paint a gruesome picture of a violent, possessive love that ultimately leads to the death of the singer’s partner. The lyrics begin with “And death lay in my arms as colors fade from gold to gray,” which implies that the singer’s partner has just passed away. The subsequent lines describe the singer’s guilt over his “foolishness” and the violent actions that led to his partner’s death: “Gray now broken my foolishness displayed / Hands tight around her throat this violent loving embrace.” Despite the singer’s violent actions, he still views himself as a protective force: “Lying restful safe in my arms / Steady rhythm trust she'll come to no harm.”
As the song continues, the singer reveals that he is haunted by his actions: “Feel her tremble as the nightmare begins / Sleep the horror as the nightmare it ends.” In the final verse, the singer grapples with conflicting emotions, torn between his love for his partner and his guilt over her death: “I hear her whisper a sweet sound fanning the flames / These thoughts consume me and leave me wallowing / Gray now broken my foolishness displayed / Hands tight around her throat / This violent loving embrace / My fingers tremble her lips move silently / One last I love you crush my resolve again.”
Overall, the lyrics to And Death in My Arms are a harrowing examination of the destructive nature of possessive love, and the devastating consequences it can have.
