The band's next, The Fall of Ideals was released on July 11, 2006 to acclaim from all angles, including Kerrang! and Metal Hammer. The first video from the album was This Calling, which was featured on the soundtracks of both Masters of Horror II and Saw III. It was followed by The Air That I Breathe. Additionally, their song Six was featured on the Guitar Hero 2 game for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360.
On January 11, 2007, the band announced their new drummer, Jason Costa, previously of Diecast. 2007 also has seen the band's first US headlining tour, which also featured Misery Signals, The Human Abstract, Light This City, and Cellador. All That Remains also made a special appearance at the New Jersey show of Sounds of the Underground in 2007.
A third video from "The Fall of Ideals" for the song Not Alone was released in mid-2007. Also, the band's DVD, entitled "All That Remains Live", was released in November of 2007. Currently, the band is co-headlining on tour with trivium.
The bands fourth effort, Overcome, is a combination of hardcore screaming and clean singing, best example being a song for the hopeless. The cd is a departure from their previous efforts, but it can still be appreciated in many ways.
In addition, they have released three of their songs: This Calling, Chiron, and Two weeks, as a welcome addition to any rock band players library.
On October 17, 2018, guitarist Oli Herbert died from drowning from a prescription overdose. He was 44 years old.

To make you see that
I know couldn't make you stay
I can not beat this
What have you done
This all seems so wrong
I hate that you let it end
The nights seem so long
And I can't pretend
I know I'm asking to much
And your not coming back again
I know I'm asking to much
And you'll never be mine again
I'm not gonna find
You outside of my door
God damn I wanna let you in
I know I'm asking to much
And you'll never
And still the writings on the wall
To close to see it
You know this better then them all
You still don't believe it
What have you done
This all seem so wrong
I hate that you let it end
And now that your gone
The nights seem long
And I can't pretend
I know I'm asking to much
And not coming back again
I know I'm asking to much
And you'll never be mine again
I'm not gonna find
You outside of my door
But damn I wanna let you in
I know I'm asking to much
And you'll never be mine again
And now your gone but nothing makes this seem more wrong
The memory of your face keeps dragging me along
When I feel lost I know that I have to obey the cost
And now I'll find my way
I know I'm asking to much
And not coming back again
I know I'm asking to much
And you'll never be mine again
I'm not gonna find
You outside of my door
But damn I wanna let you in
I know I'm asking to much
And you'll never be mine again
The lyrics of All That Remains' song "Asking Too Much" describe the pain and regret of a person who has lost a loved one and is struggling to come to terms with the breakup. The feelings conveyed in the song are those of desperation and confusion; the singer is asking for too much, holding onto hope of being reunited with their lost love, and struggling to move on.
In the first verse, the singer acknowledges their inability to make their loved one stay and overcome the situation. The second verse repeats the same sentiments in different words, while the chorus expresses the singer's cravings to reunite with their loved one despite knowing that the chances of it happening are low. The repetition of the phrase "I know I'm asking too much" underscores the feeling of desperation and resentment the singer has for their own hope.
The bridge of the song conveys an acceptance of the reality of the situation but with a tinge of hope. The singer knows that their loved one will never be mine again, but they will try to move on and find a way forward. However, the memory of their loved one's face continues to haunt them, and they have to pay the emotional cost to get over it.
Overall, the lyrics of "Asking Too Much" are a heartbreaking representation of the emotional struggles involved in moving on after losing a loved one.

I cannot overcome this feeling
What have you done
What actions have you taken

The nights seem so long
The nights feel prolonged
And I can't pretend
And I cannot act like it's okay

I'm not gonna find
I will not come across
You outside of my door
You waiting at my doorstep
God damn I wanna let you in
I am eager to let you into my life
And still the writings on the wall
And yet, it is still clear what will happen
To close to see it
Too close to notice
You know this better then them all
You are more aware of this than anyone
You still don't believe it
You still do not accept it
And now your gone but nothing makes this seem more wrong
And now that you are gone, everything feels more incorrect
The memory of your face keeps dragging me along
The memory of your presence keeps me moving forward
When I feel lost I know that I have to obey the cost
When I feel lost, I understand that there is a price to pay
And now I'll find my way
And now I will discover my path

There is so much emotion that goes into this solo. I can feel the sadness emitting from it. Damn I wish I could make up solos like that.
Ollie C
Same! Always been impressed by their solos

Music= Art. Art= Opinions. If you don't like ATR then keep it to yourself, nobody cares. Personally, I think they're amazing and are one of the few bands today that have valuable meaning in their music. Truly inspiring.
Care Free
You're also suppose to share your opinions, so don't keep it to yourself at all.
Ciaran 222
See, you immediately contradicted yourself there, you say "Art = Opinions" and then you say "If you don't like ATR keep it to yourself" So you don't actually care about the principal of free subjection for everyone at all do you? the only Opinions you want to be free to share are the ones that match your own, and anyone who disagrees doesn't deserve an opinion.
The Bloodletting Knight
Derrick Korstick Art is meant to be critiqued. Opinions, positive or negative, are meant to be shared in this particular subject.
Liam Barrett
Its a crazy concept I know, but everyone can share their opinion even if you don’t like it

This is actually making me feel really nostalgic. It has kind of has that up-beat yet serious feel that I remember hearing, from bands like simple plan, when I was younger.

Oli's solo's man. They are something else. just pure musical MASTERPIECES.
