The band's next, The Fall of Ideals was released on July 11, 2006 to acclaim from all angles, including Kerrang! and Metal Hammer. The first video from the album was This Calling, which was featured on the soundtracks of both Masters of Horror II and Saw III. It was followed by The Air That I Breathe. Additionally, their song Six was featured on the Guitar Hero 2 game for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360.
On January 11, 2007, the band announced their new drummer, Jason Costa, previously of Diecast. 2007 also has seen the band's first US headlining tour, which also featured Misery Signals, The Human Abstract, Light This City, and Cellador. All That Remains also made a special appearance at the New Jersey show of Sounds of the Underground in 2007.
A third video from "The Fall of Ideals" for the song Not Alone was released in mid-2007. Also, the band's DVD, entitled "All That Remains Live", was released in November of 2007. Currently, the band is co-headlining on tour with trivium.
The bands fourth effort, Overcome, is a combination of hardcore screaming and clean singing, best example being a song for the hopeless. The cd is a departure from their previous efforts, but it can still be appreciated in many ways.
In addition, they have released three of their songs: This Calling, Chiron, and Two weeks, as a welcome addition to any rock band players library.
On October 17, 2018, guitarist Oli Herbert died from drowning from a prescription overdose. He was 44 years old.

All That Remains Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
No jury to abide
Our lives are worlds away
The distance makes you blind
So you think you know the way that I should live my life
I know a better way
I swear I know a better way
I know a better way
I swear I know a better way
You don't get to say what I'm made of
You don't give me a halo
Don't give me a halo
There is no sacred way
No rules to live my life
No man or deity can tell me wrong from right
So you think you know the way that I should live my life
I know a better way
I swear I know a better way
I'll smash your crown before I give you power to decide
I know a better way
I swear I know a better way
You don't get to say what I'm made of
You don't give me a halo
Don't give me a halo
You don't
You don't
You don't get to say what I'm made of
You don't give me a halo
Don't give me a halo
You don't get to say what I'm made of
You don't give me a halo
Don't give me a halo
The lyrics of All That Remains's "Halo" convey a powerful message of individuality and self-determination. The opening lines declare that there is no ultimate judgment day or higher power that can tell us how to live our lives. The distance between us and any potential overseeing entity makes us blind to their perspectives, leaving us to our own devices. The singer asserts that there is no sacred or predetermined path to follow, and no rules to dictate how to live one's life. This leaves the singer free to live life on their own terms, without any interference or influence from outside sources.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the singer's independence and fortitude. They firmly declare that no one can judge them or tell them how to live their life, nor can anyone bestow upon them any kind of honor, as symbolized by the halo. They have their own unique identity, and no external power can take that away or define it for them. The repetition of the lines "You don't get to say what I'm made of, you don't give me a halo" serves to strengthen this message and reinforce the importance of individual agency.

I have liked all that remains for a long time , halo is imo the best of the singles from this album and I hear small bits of the air that I breathe in here.

Look, I don't care if it's heavy metal, deathcore, or hard rock - I just want good music. I wasn't mad that The Order of Things was lighter, I just hated the lack of energy and how much of a step down it was from their usual music. While I still prefer The Fall of Ideals or For We Are Many, this has energy, is catchy as hell, and holy shit that solo was something special. If the rest of the album is this good, I'll certainly be satisfied. Especially given how this song would sound right at home in an arena.
