Six Feet Under the Stars
All Time Low Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Fingerprints sell me out but our footprints' washed away
From the docks downtown
It's been getting late for days
And I feel myself deserving of
A little time off
We can kick it, hang for hours
And how we know it's going straight to hell
Pass me another bottle, honey
The Jager's so sweet
But if it keeps you around, then I'm down
Meet me on Thames Street, I'll take you out
Though I'm hardly worth your time
In the cold you look so fierce
But I'm warming up because the tension's like a fire
We'll hit South Broadway in a matter of minutes
And like a bad movie, I'll drop a line
Fall in the grave I've been digging myself
But there's room for two, six feet under the stars
I should have known better than to call you out
(On a night like this, a night like this)
If not for you, I know I'd tear this place to the ground
(But I'm alright like this, alright like this)
I'm gonna roll the dice before you sober up and get gone
I'm always in over my head
Thames Street, I'll take you out
Though I'm hardly worth your time
In the cold you look so fierce
But I'm warming up because the tension's like a fire
We'll hit South Broadway in a matter of minutes
And like a bad movie, I'll drop a line
Fall in the grave, I've been digging myself
But there's room for two, six feet under the stars
Time to lay claim to the evidence
Fingerprints sell me out
But our footprints' washed away
I'm guilty, but I'm safe for one more day
Overdressed and underage
Do you really need to see an ID?
This is embarrassing as hell
But I can cover for it so well
When we're six feet under the stars
Thames Street, I'll take you out
Though I'm hardly worth your time
In the cold you look so fierce
But I'm warming up because the tension's like a fire
We'll hit South Broadway in a matter of minutes
And like a bad movie, I'll drop a line
Fall in the grave I've been digging myself
But there's room for two, six feet under the stars
Six feet under the stars
Six feet under the stars
The song "Six Feet Under The Stars" by All Time Low is a nostalgic representation of youth, rebellion, and carefree love. The lyrics open with the singer admitting to his guilt, which is soon followed by a desire to take a break from life's responsibilities. The singer plans to meet his lover on Thames Street to escape from reality, and they end up hitting South Broadway, where he confesses his love. However, he knows that he is in over his head and risks the possibility of losing her to alcohol-induced amnesia. The title of the song refers to the thought of spending eternity with his love six feet under the stars.
The song's mood is a combination of melancholy and optimism, as the singer tries to hold onto his youth, while knowing that he has to face the consequences of growing older. The lyrics portray the beauty of being alive and the vulnerability of being young. Nevertheless, the song is also an ode to the idea that no matter what adult life may bring, we will always have our memories and youthful innocence.

Theres a reason So Wrong Its Right is one of my all time favourite things in music and for All Time Low
1) The simple but punchy and well composed music
2) Lyrical masterpieces
3) Jack and Alex's hair
4) Alex's treasured Gibson SG-X guitars
and best of all, their energy.
I'm honestly sad that what they release now doesn't appeal to me. I understand that things change but it seems that i will remain in this little bubble that never came out of 2008

I’m 26 now. This album hits me so different. It gives me so much confidence.
It takes me back to my carefree/ non stressed youthful self. It reminds me to just never give a fuck about what people think.
It gives me confidence when talking to girls in public. The lyrical matter is so brazen and the music is so bouncy I just want to take every girl on a date (now I’m older and have the funds and experience to do so )
Overall a fun album from front to back.
I’m living in southern California so the song “let it roll” is very relatable and I just wanna have fun.
