Too Deep
Allejo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You say you're tired
And I say darling it's alright
The sun will come out before we're old we'll get it right
And we we're falling like stars
And there was hope with in your eyes
But we were younger then, we'd never be apart
We're just people
We're just people
Sometimes it's hard, sometimes we get it wrong
Wе're just people
Wе're just people
Sometimes it's hard, sometimes we get it wrong

Overall Meaning

The song "Too Deep" by Allejo is a poignant reflection on the complex and often tumultuous nature of human relationships. The opening lines of the song set the tone for the message of the lyrics, as the singer acknowledges the weariness and struggles that can arise in a romantic partnership. However, he offers reassurance and hope, suggesting that there is always the possibility of a brighter future and a stronger connection between the two people involved.

The theme of hope and the passage of time is particularly prominent in the second verse, as the singer recalls a time when he and his partner were young and full of promise. Although the relationship has faced its share of challenges, the lyrics suggest that the bond between these two people is fundamentally strong and enduring. Ultimately, the song emphasizes the importance of recognizing our shared humanity and our common experiences of imperfection and vulnerability in love and relationships.

Overall, "Too Deep" is a powerful and emotive song that captures the ups and downs of human connection in a way that is both relatable and uplifting.

I went for a drive by myself a few nights ago here in LA.
I was bumping this banger with the windows down like I have for over 25 years. (it's the only way to listen to it)

While stopped at a red light I faintly hear some guy yelling. Seems like he's yelling at me from 2 cars back.
Dude on a Harley pulls up next to me at the next light and yells "Fuck yeah, Back to the Hotel!"
It was a simple gesture showing mutual respect and love for a timeless classic.

Can anyone name the last time anything like that happened to them? Probably not.

Just proves how low-key dope this jam was & still is for many of us.
