Allele describes their sound as "hard rock with a new feel" and Point of Origin has been received with a good amount of positive reviews. The band completed a tour with labelmates Switched and A New Revolution (featuring ex-Unloco frontmant Joey Duenas).
In early June, 2006, it was announced that Kelly Hayes has been out of the band since January to deal with legal and personal issues. The band stated that they would continue as a four-piece.
On June 29, 2006, it was revealed via Allele's MySpace blog that vocalist Wally Wood had left the group. The explanation given from the remaining members was the following: "Unfortunately when you put 5 people in a van for months at a time, every once in a while, one of them doesn't get back in". Andy Toole was immediately announced as the new vocalist, and the band will continue to tour and begin the recording process on their second album in the fall of 2006.
Allele's track "Stitches" was featured in trailers and promos for TNT's Stephen King anthology series, "Nightmares and Dreamscapes".
As of February 9, 2006, Point of Origin had sold over 5,000 copies in the US.

What I am, what I am
Now there's a line to separate
What I am
a face to old to carry on
it rips me open my faith is all I have
a back to broke to carry on
I stop to walk but I just run again.
To ending all the lies
My closure has become what I'm now holding
All this haitred that I know it's add a hole
And now I close the door
Just to find some rights
You showned ways to death it case
Sarcasm falling and turned to waiste
… and I know it's ending
I'm getting closer to ending all the lies
My closure has become
What I'm now holding
All this haitred that
I know it's add a hole and
Now I close the door and now
Desperate I have to find
What's my always sun,
The fade an open one
I feel insaine,
Now they closed, it's shuted,
They fallowing us, I feel alive
So I send the closure gate, so I don't run again
I'm getting closer to ending all the lies
My closure has become what I'm now holding in
I'm getting closer to ending all the lies
My closure has become what I'm now holding
All this haitred that I know it's add a hole
Now I close the door
The lyrics to Allele's song "Closure" describe the struggle to come to terms with one's true self and the lies that have complicated that self-perception. The singer expresses their desire to separate themselves from these falsehoods and find closure, to close the door on their past and move forward. There is a sense of desperation and urgency in the lyrics as the singer realizes that the weight of the hatred and deception has taken a toll on them, causing them to feel ripped open and broken. Despite this pain, the singer is determined to find their own truth and end the lies once and for all.
The chorus serves as an anthem of sorts, with the repetition of "I'm getting closer to ending all the lies" reinforcing the idea that this struggle for closure is ongoing but progress is being made. The line "My closure has become what I'm now holding" suggests that the singer has found some peace through the process of seeking closure - that by confronting the lies and facing their true self, they have gained a greater understanding of who they are and what they want.
Overall, "Closure" is a powerful and introspective song that explores the difficult journey of finding oneself amidst the noise and confusion of the world. The singer's struggle is one that many can relate to, and the message of perseverance and self-discovery is a timeless one.
